Should I even go to Universal Studios Islands of adventure?

That is one of two issues I have with Universal. I always feel the anxiety over if I can even get on a few rides. In fact Escape from Gringotts is nothing more then an empty show building because I can't fit in the seats. We still have fun there, but it is tough sometimes.

There will still be lots you can do and see, even if you don't fit on everything. Any iffy rides have a test seat outside.

If you are a Harry Potter fan, Hogsmeade is really incredible and interesting, even if you can't ride HP and the Forbidden Journey. You can walk the full queue with your party, and it is worth seeing. There is also a "castle tour" line that lets you experience the inside parts of the queue (you miss the greenhouse) at your own pace. I enjoyed taking the "tour" to get pictures and watch all of the character interaction scenes in the queue.

I like how blunt and straight to the point this post was.

Not knowing your situation atm, kinda hard to suggest anything other than the obvious things.

ODnt be fooled by low carb items, they are also full of sugar. Also if you're going tot have sugar have the real deal not the chemical stuff. Whole grains. Or even try Paleo if you really want to see quick results. Its hard and not fun some days but you will FEEL the loads better! Give your self one cheat day a week.

Hey you know what if this gives you insentive to maybe drop a few pounds and live healthier than why not?

I use to weight 280 pounds but cutting soda, going to the gym and eating basically grilled chicken got me down to a solid 180/185 I hover at.

I wish you the best of luck and if you need advice or help you can always shoot me a Pm

I have no tips or even advice about losing weight. I only want to highly recommend that you do Islands of Adventure if you have the time and budget to do so. There is some great theming in the park and it is very enjoyable even if you are not physically able to ride OR even if you choose to avoid the rides altogether for your own reasons. The Hogsmeade area is beautifully themed and offers many things to do and see which do not require a specific ride vehicle seat. The Jurassic Park area is lush and neat to see. Suessland is also really cool to see (if you're a fan).

I would recommend getting a park-to-park ticket and taking it all in. AND if you're into the HP stuff, you will really like the train back and forth which does not have restrictive seats :) Have fun and enjoy yourself!

I can recommend weight watchers personal coaching. I needed to lose twenty pounds and it got me there.

Maybe go back and listen to the DisUnplugged universal show that is titled something like "Universal for the non-thrill seeker" because most of the "thrilling" rides are the ones that you may face issues with in terms of fitting in the harnesses, so the other rides and attractions they talk about should fit the bill

Absolutely! There are still a lot of things you can see and ride. Also, I have a friend who lost a bunch of weight and she said the easiest way is to start small and work your way up. First she started simply by cutting out the sugary and greasy foods. She stopped drinking soda, started having black coffee with no sugar or milk, would only have fast food 2-3 times a week and then only once a week until she cut it out all together. For exercise she started walking a lot, then joining a gym where she would do light cardio. Then she joined a Pilates class and now she's doing P90X.

Just start small and it will make it easier to commit.

Good luck!

Try to search for the threads where people have put their measurements and if they were able to ride or not. The biggest issue isn't really weight but how you are shaped. So one person who is over a certain weight may be able to ride because they carry all their wait evenly but someone who carries their weight in the stomach or boobs may not be able to ride. Also if you have broad shoulders some rides may be harder than others but doable. Really depends on those things.
