My boyfriend and I are thinking about doing this on Dec 8 (Thurs). But, is it worth it? We aren't really into parades or shows. The snow sounds cool....and the rides at night would be cool....HOw are the lines?

Please help quick........I'd like to buy tickets today if possible!!

I think it's worth it! That early in Dec. and on a Thurs. night the lines wouldn't be long at all.Longest wait will probably be Fantasyland, maybe 15 mins on some things. Many rides will be walk ons.

It's a really fun night!

I say go for it. It'a great time. You may want to give some of the shows and the parade a chance too. I'm not a huge parade person either but I love Disney parades. :flower:

If you have never been to one before, and are concerned primarily about wait times for rides, a Thursday early in the season would be an excellent time to go.

The last time I went to one of these, I rode DUMBO! No way that would happen if there had been a line to ride.

If you stick with the EMH, you will never get snow on Mainstreet, see the wonderful shows and parades(even if you are not the type, they are absolutely magical) The atmosphere is un describable, and the free hot chocolate and cookies are delicious.

Going that early in December, you may have pretty light crowds too!

My DH and I went to this (when we had no kids) because we'd heard such great things about it. We, too, weren't interested in the parades or shows but did want to take advantage of the shorter lines.

I'M SO GLAD WE WENT. Along with complimentary cookies and cocoa, you also get a themed picture. The atmosphere is also great. When the parades are going on it tends to shorten the lines even further at the rides. HOWEVER, while we were eating in Frontierland, the parade came by and it was UNBELIEVABLE (they don't show it regularly until after Dec. 20th so you won't see it at any other time while your there).

EMH is no substitute for this event. Like a poster said, crowds at WDW are pretty light in early Dec. anyway, so you shouldn't have to wait too long at most rides during your stay as it is.

Here's a link to a site with more info on MVMCP. There are also some pictures of MVMCP under the Holiday Photo Gallery option on the left of the page. http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/hol_mk.htm

Good luck with your decision.

I say go for it. We go in early December and the wait time is anywhere from walk on to 10 minutes.

Plus there is a special version of Wishes, a free photo, cookies and hot cocoa and snow on main street. Its a lot of fun. And you can get special Christmas party souvinears that is sold at just the party.
