Should I do Hoop de Doo instead of CRT?

Okay, here is the deal.....

I'm trying to plan a dinner for me & DH's last night at WDW for July 16th. We'll be at MK all day, and will want to take advanage of EMH at MK also that night.

I was toying with doing the CRT dinner, but with all the terrible reviews, I'm not sure about it. We eaten in the castle twice before for dinner. I just wanted us to have one last memorable dinner for our last night.

Then I thought, for the two TS credits we would use at CRT, we COULD do the Hoop de Doo instead. We've never done HDD before.....

How long does it last? Does everyone think it would work if we were in MK all day, and then took the boat over to FW for the HDD for dinner? Would park attire be appropriate?

Would we have time to get back to MK to do EMH that night after dinner was over? Or would that be pushing it? Opinions please from people who have done HDD....

We always do HDDR after doing MK during the day. As for whether you can hit up EMH afterwards, it depends on what show you're going to. The boat from MK to FW works out wonderfully and park attire is absolutely fine! The show with dinner usually ends up to be 2 hours. I guess it really depends, the two experiences are totally different, but the HDDR is so much fun!

Hoop De Doo is a lot of fun, I'd definitely recommend it!

I love HDDR but I'm not sure I would want to use two TS credits for it. Why not try California Grill instead?

Well, we've done CG before, as well as Citricos, Ohana, Kona and many of the other places around MK. Plus, I don't want to have to worry about my park attire at places like CG or Citricos, since we will be coming from MK and going right back over to it after dinner.

ABSOLUTELY go to the Hoop!!

If you want a slightly ho-hum dinner with not much excitement then go to CRT------------BUT, if you want ENTERTAINMENT and FUN!!!! then go to the Hoop-dee-do!

We went to the resort and freshened up before we went, but I think if you wore your park attire, that would probably be OK. When we went, it was so dang HOT that we all felt a little stinky and needed to change!

In a minute I would go to Hoop de Doo!!!!! It is so much fun and you'll laugh your head off. Not to mention the food is good and lots of it. Its entertaining from start to finish, its a total blast. Do it, you won't regret it.

We did Hoop Dee Doo last week and had a great time...it was fun and I really enjoyed the ribs. They are a really talented set of entertainers that appealed to the varying age groups in the audience. We had spent the day at MK and then hopped on the boat to Pioneer Hall. We were exhausted after the show and dinner though and I don't think we would have enjoyed ourselves if we had headed back into the MK. This was the 2nd show, btw.

We had tried to get last minute walk-up reservations to CRT one night but unfortunately they were booked solid so I can't compare dinner at HDDR to dinner at CRT. We did have breakfast at CRT and I was in heaven. Of course you've been there twice before so you know that there's just something magical about that place. I would have loved to have ended our trip with dinner at CRT and the picture package would have been extra special to remember that night. Then we would have been able to walk back out into the park enjoy the fireworks and a few more rides.

HDDR was great...loved every moment but I'm not sure I would have wanted to end my trip with dinner there.
