Should I change my dates to try to get FD - PLEASE HELP

I was planning on May 1-8 because my kids love the pools and waterparks. However free dining would save us around $800-900, so I am thinking of changing to March 3-10 to catch the end of FD (and have it applied to our entire stay). I am worried about weather/crowds. Should I hang on and hope for some additional discounts for May or maybe even a PIN, or book the sure thing and hope for good weather. Please help me decide, I am driving myself crazy about this.

P.S. I haven't booked anything yet and was thinking of staying at a moderate

I think the beginning of March should be fine, crowd wise. Easter is really late next year (April 24th) so you'll be missing those crowds as well as the Spring Break crowds which would be a bit later in the month.
The weather should be nice then too, not too hot and not humid.

I did. I changed from 2/6-2/12 to 2/13-2/19 for the dining.

I just checked my email confirmation and only got FD for 4 nights!

Scratch that. I thought it said 4 nights. It was 4 people. duh! It's been a long day of scrambling to change reservations!
