Should I change my booking from CBR?

Hi Everyone, first time poster here (have lurked for awhile).

We are booked Jan 19 - 27 at CBR.

5 park days, with rest days sprinkled throughout.

Our original plan was;

19th - Arrive, 20th - AK, 21st - Rest, 22nd - EP, 23rd - MK, 24th - Rest, 25th - HS, 26th - MK, 27th - check out

Then I got an email from my TA that the sky liner will be down the 22nd onwards for the rest of our trip. I’ve currently jiggled our park reservations so the 20/21 are EP and HS so we can utilize the sky liner but I’m wondering if you all think it would be smarter to just change resorts.

These are my concerns with staying at CBR -

1. if our flights are delayed we will miss a park day and not have other rest days as potential back ups for park days.
2. I’ve heard the bus system at CBR is chaotic with up to 90min waits 😬

I have priced out POP and it’s significantly cheaper, but I’ve heard it’s noisy in the rooms and the beds are hard which are big factors for me too.

I’m confused as to what’s best and whether I should just stay or change my res. This is an expensive trip (family of 5) so I want to make the right decision.

Looking forward to receiving your wealth of knowledge!

The only advantage of CBR is the skyliner . The rooms are dated so I wouldn’t stay there without the skyliner . Also I would switch the 21st and 22nd . You will need a resort day after an Epcot day . You don’t need it after AK because you won’t be there super late ,

Ditch the Skyliner idea & try something like POR. Easy access to Disney Springs would be nice with 2 rest days.

I found Pop noisy but I also found POFQ noisy. Thats Disney values & mods, thin walls are plentiful. If you need quiet to sleep bring ear plugs.

Does Pop take 5 people? Or is one a baby/toddler? Still. I cannot imagine squeezing 5 into a room at Pop. Value rooms are small outside the family suites!

Don’t forget to price out Swan/Dolphin + their resort fee. Sometimes in a quiet time they are competitive price wise with Disney mods. (Although sometimes the prices don’t start dropping until a month or so out.)

One is a
Toddler. Currently booked in a 5th room sleeper.

Would you recommend POR or POFQ? What’s the difference?

I think you should switch to Coronado springs if the toddler can sleep in a pack and play. It's the most upscale of the mods and the pool is huge. I love the themeing and it's been our fav resort. I've stayed at CBR and CSR is a better resort.

For you I think the ultimate difference is POR has that 5th sleeper, POFQ does not.

This exactly! It sounds like POR is the best fit for your family. You'll be in Alligator Bayou. Having said that, if your toddler can do a pack and play, CSR would be my pick for a moderate with that many rest days scheduled. CSR is a beautiful resort with wonderful dining options. If you do choose POR, make sure you see YeeHaw Bob at the river roost. I don't know which days he plays right now, but it's worth spending your evening there!
