should I cancel via napoli to just graze during flower and garden?

I've seen some yummy menus for the flower and garden festival. I have an ADR for Via Napoli on our Epcot day, but I'm thinking about just canceling it and grazing around world showcase instead. We already ate at Via Napoli once. Anyone have any thoughts about this idea?

We tend to avoid EPCOT ADRs, especially lunch and dinner, during festivals. We much prefer to snack around the food booths and always find ourselves plenty full from doing so.

We thought the same thing so I cancelled an ‘Ohana dinner on our Epcot day and switched it to a different day so we could sample some of the F&G offerings.

I love via Napole but would definitely cancel if I was going to graze around the festival. Is that you’re only day at Epcot?

Well, I can graze through food/wine and still eat pizza at Via Napoli, but that's just me!

If you don't want to waste time at a sit down and would rather just walk around and eat, I would cancel.

But then again, if you are going to be there open to close, I would keep the reservation just to have a chance to relax - make the reservation for around 8 pm.

I prefer the food at the booths BUT if you plan your meal as also a chance to rest then you won't get that with the booths. In fact, that is the one annoying issue with getting food from there as you have to stand and eat your food. Some dishes are more friendly to this method. One option is to graze on some apps, do Via Napoli and then graze again for dessert.

It depends. We graze late morning and a good part of the afternoon, but then have an ADR for dinner. But we are usually there for more than one day. If you are only spending one day and many kiosk menus look good, then I would probably cancel and graze for the evening as well.

We don't make any ADRs in advance when doing the festivals. But then again, we don't make ADRs any more in advance than the day before anyway. I would say if you are only doing one day at F&G, then yes I'd cancel and graze. We go to Epcot every single day of the trip when a festival is going on and at least one of our meals is done at the festival just grazing from booths. Sometimes toward the end of the the trip we will want a real meal and then go ahead and make a late night ADR somewhere.

We specifically are not making ADRs on our EPCOT day (with the exception of a PPO Garden Grill ADR) for this exact reason. I almost was tempted to get the dining plan so that everyone in our family could have lots of snack credits for us to use on “grazing” LOL

Save room for dessert at the food booth called The Berry Basket. The warm wild berry buckle is terrific!

We usually do one real meal even during the festivals. We will skip breakfast and make festival grazing brunch/lunch and afternoon snack, but with most of the World Showcase rather short on seating and the festival tables being stand-up height, we're usually ready for an actual sit-down meal in the evening despite the food booth offerings.

Yes to this! Also, it’s better to go to the food booths starting right when they open at 11:00 as the lines later in the day can be long.

I might be in the minority.... A lot of people seem to enjoy it.... but my family will not eat at Via Napoli, we have tried it a couple times, and it really was not good...service 2 of 3 times was terrible and one was mediocre at best.

I would eat around the world...I will tell you that some of the portions will be quite large and easily shareable, DH and I are AP holders and we enjoy this type of grazing...There are not a lot of tables so take into consideration as well, and don't be shy about asking to share a table with someone if they have room.

Please note: I find that during food and wine festival you don't need ADR for Via Napoli, so you will probably have that option anyway.

It's done, and now I'm enjoying looking at the flower and garden menus! We should be able to get to world showcase after noon based on our ADRs. We have a wood fired pizza place here at home (with an oven ordered direct from Naples) so I don't think missing Via Napoli will be an issue.

I find it impossible to pass the booths at F&W without sampling some of their offerings. My wife refers to it as "snacking around the world". I'd cancel the Via Napoli reservation.
