My sis and I are going to both parks in one day on a Saturday in Feb....the 27th to be exact...should we buy the FOTL pass or not? I am afraid if we don't, we'll be waiting more than riding....but I have paid for it before and not needed it....experts???

You should always wait until you arrive and see what the lines are like before purchasing the Express Plus pass...they are non-refundable and if you end up not needing them, you have wasted money.

How will I know what lines are like until I am inside waiting in one? Then what? Can you buy one at several locations throughout the park??

Yes...they are available throughout both parks. I mean...it's up to you but I would never recommend to purchase ahead of time. You can check out the wait times by the signs out front of each attraction entrance.

How much is the FOTL pass?
Express Plus passes range in price from $29.95 to $54.95 + tax per person for the 2 park pass. The prices depend on the anticipated crowd level for that day...the cheaper they are...expect lower crowds.

the FOTL pass is available for everyone to purchase?

Are they in limited number per day or can you buy it anytime?

are day only for 1 day use for for longer?

:confused3

Express Plus passes are available to anyone to purchase. There are "limited" numbers of passes available each day but unless you're going during a really busy time, you should have no problems. The EP's are available for only a single day...one park or two and are good for one time through the Express line for each participating attraction.

However...you can purchase the VIP Express tickets which are good for unlimited Express access for seven days and include your park admission.

Are there some rides that the FOTL pass is not accepted? I read mention of this in another thread but it didn't say what exactly - just some of the more popular or newer rides.

As of right now...the only two attractions not accepting the Express passes are the Rockit at the Studios and the Pteranodon Flyers at IOA. The Pteranodon Flyers never accepts it so that's nothing new. For the first few months after Harry Potter opens, I doubt the EP's will be taken there but that will change over time.

The waiting times for the rides are posted outside the rides and at the front of the parks. If you are noticing that those posted times are higher than you would like to wait, then go ahead and purchase the express pass. It would be a real shame to purchase it before you got there and then the lines are all under 15 minutes or so.

I hope you won't mind answering another newbie question. I was thinking of staying on-site at one of their hotels for one night just to get two days of the FOTL access that comes with the room. Are those rides you mentioned then not included even with that? And we are visiting just before the 4th of July so do you think the HP attraction would not be included in that time frame?

Probably not but the Rockit might be taking the EP then. The problem is the moving load platform is not working as planned so for some reason they aren't taking EP's right now. If Harry Potter opens in May or sometime around then, I doubt seriously EP's will be taken on the new ride in July. The P Flyers never accepts the EP so that probably won't change.

Don't mean to hijack but just another question ....

Let's say I go ahead and purchase our $99/7 day tickets now and get there and decide we want a FOTL pass. Would we still be able to upgrade to the VIP Express or just add on the Express Plus?

If you purchase your park tickets now, you would not want to get the VIP Express tickets...those INCLUDE your park admission. Wait until you arrive to decide on purchasing the EP.
