Headed to RPR the day after Christmas with either my 13 yo or with both her and my husband. Older daughter will be at the Crowne Plaza Universal with her marching band (they're performing in the Champs Bowl on 12/28). RIght now I have a water view room booked at RPR, wondering if I should bump on up to CL especially if it's just me and DD, it may be easier to just eat there than to dine out.... Difference is around $100 per night.

Not worth $100 in food per night. Club is nice for extra room, extra Tvs, soda. But food and desserts not wonderful, just ok.
I did club for 5 people but wouldn't do it for 2 people for $100/night.

I don't think it is really economically feasible for two people either. That's $50/day for juice and danish in the morning, a bit of granola and yogurt at lunch, cheese crackers and a warm dish at dinner, and a few cookies at night.

I'd take the $100 and go have a nice lunch and dinner. You can do room service for cheaper for 2 people.

I agree with both of these. When we are 4/5 people we do it and it actually does pay for us but I also book AP rate. When just the two of us we skip it unless a nice deal is offered.

Easily worth $100 extra for our family of 4.

I agree about the cost for two as opposed to the cost for 4. I am usually booking for four, that's why I was not thinking that closely about it just being two at the most three in the room. My main thing was it would give us a place to rest upon arrival if our room is not ready. I'm planning on a noonish arrival, know my chances are slim on having a room ready then the day after Christmas. I'll think a bit more about it. Maybe DH will decide to go along!

We just got comped to club access and kids suite 2 weeks ago :) Would I pay for club....No. For free, it was great otherwise, it was just some basic food/snacks. I did enjoy taking the soda to the parks with me (which I cannot believe that they allow this).

Tell me about it....although, I think part of it was error. We checked into the HRH and was told we were upgraded to club. I start jumping up and down, totally excited and can't believe it. I then say...is it the same type of room, holds 5 correct? Guy go....uuuhhh....let me look. I am thinking, well there goes my upgrade. He then says, OK, kids suite with club access. At this point, I take his photo so, I can add him to my scrapbook. Kids suite was nice....again, as much as I loved it, I don't think I would pay for it.

We then went on Disney cruise....could not hit private island due to weather. After cruise, went to Disney and someone gave us 7 tix to Mickey's halloween party.

Luck was on our side this trip...we are usually the dumpster view at the end of a long hallway.

Wow, don'tcha love when things go your way? Our Disney visit over Memorial Day, I booked CR MK view atrium club simply 'cause I got a 40% code and I knew how busy the parks would be over the holiday. Imagine my shock when we were greeted by not one but two concierge at the door with "welcome, you're on the 14th floor, tower Club. Coulda knocked me over with a feather when they opened the door to a 1 bedroom suite with MK view! Rack for that baby was around $1K per night, times 4 nights, wow! Of course the kids are absolutely spoiled now!

Boy do I hear ya! We have had some trips that I wonder who they think we are we get so spoiled. Then thrown in the mix are the trips that not much goes well. We take the good with the bad and in the end - it is ALL good;)!!

Just got back from a great trip to HRH Club Level for the week. There are 5 of us so we definately saved money but we saved something else our sanity. It was much more relaxing not waking up and wondering ok were do we go for breakfast even when all you want is toast and coffee. I would think about it again even with a smaller group. Enjoy!

heck, if you have 15-20 beers per day, it is easily worth the 100 bucks extra.

Is club access the same as the FOTL pass--2 days access for the one night booked?

There will be 5 of us in March--just wondering.

No, club level is an area that serves soda, continental breakfast, snacks etc that is included with your package (or upgrade).

FOTL gives you front of the line access, for available rides, while at the theme park.

If I'm not mistaken, you get club access from the moment you check in until the evening of check out, unless it's different than the Disney hotels. I know that at the Disney ones we were welcome, even encouraged, to use the lounge the entire day of check out.

Yes you do. If you check in early and your room isn't ready you may enter the Club Lounge and use it. You can also use it the next day until you leave.

Saturday and Sunday where busier but nobody really thru the week. Started to pick back up Friday morning. Enjoy!

I think I'll look into bookng club level. I'm sure the 5 of us could consume $100 worth over 2 days. When we did club level at AKL in Disney we were encouraged to use the lounge on check-out day so I was hoping it would be the same at RPR.

We also got comped to club access a couple of years ago at RPH. I reserved 3 rooms for 4 or 5 nights (for a conference in town but not there) and asked if they would consider upgrading me to club level since I made all the housing choices and booking arrangements.

The very nice desk clerk apologized for not having any club level rooms available (there was a convention going on there too), but he did comp me club level access. I have to agree with quentina, I wouldn't pay for it either. In fact, some of the days we didn't even take the time to go up for anything.
