My youngest will be 4.5 years old when we go. She is very active and loves trying to keep up with the older dc. She is also big for her age (70% in height).

If we kept a slower speed and let her rest would we be alright with out a stroller?

At this point she has not used a stroller since last Fall. It is now 1:09pm and she has not stopped running/walking after the big dc since I let her out at 11:30am.

I don't know you, your family, or your daughter, but I will tell you from my personal experience that I would bring a stroller with you.

I brought one from home for both of my kids first trips. They were both aroung age 5 1/2 at the time. Neither of them would ever use a stroller at home and hadn't in a loooong time. As a matter of fact we didn't even own a stroller anymore and bought a cheap one each time.

Disney is so much walking. We do tend to stay in the park for long stretchs of time, but we do stop and take breaks but we still found the stroller to be a life saver. The second trip my older one wanted to get in the stroller any time the younger one got out.

The last trip the girls were 10 and 6 and I rented a stroller each day. We had 4 days for the parks and we were going full tilt. The stroller came in handy. The younger one could ride when she was tired. We could keep the backpack in it too.

Just my $.02.

I travel alone with my kids whoa re 4 and 5 and bring a double. DD has a tendency to fall asleep at night so I need the stroller to get her back to the room.

When I go in December, my son will be 4 1/2. I am in the market for a double stroller right now!!!!!!!!

You walk an average of 9 miles a day when at WDW (sometimes as much as 15 miles per day!!!) What kid COULDN'T use a stroller? Heck, if they made them adult sized, I'd make DH push me around!!! LOL :teeth:

I am also looking for a double for GC that are 5 & 7. That is the first thing they want to pack. :rotfl2:

I'd use a stroller. My DS was 4 when we went, and although he never used a stroller anywhere else, he needed on in WDW. When we go in July, DD will be 4, and you can bet we'll use one then, too. There's a lot of walking and their little legs get tired out. Plus, I've found it's easier to keep them safe; I would worry about a very small child getting lost in the crowd if she were walking.

We just returned from WDW and DD 4 1/2 walked lots the first two days and then fought her brothers for a seat in the double stroller after that. I would certainly recommend a stroller. There's tons of walking, from the bus to the parks, around the parks and around the hotels.

Renting one may work for you . . . lugging them on the busses isn't the most fun.

Have fun!

We have been only one time with our children, but many times before we had them :flower3: it's alot of walking for an adult sometimes. Take the stroller. I think you'll be happy you did. not only for the small legs but for the crowds. I found that when a lot of people are around you feel a little safer when you have your child in front of you.

You can always rent one there if you need to. My oldest DD had just turned 5 on our first trip, and didn't need a stroller. She was average height/weight and did fine.
