Should I book more ADRs?

Heading to Disney next week for the first time for 7 nights, I can't even explain how excited we are! It's just hubby, myself and our 6 yr old daughter. We do have the DDP so price is not a factor in deciding where to eat. These are the ADRs we have booked already (see below). I didn't book one for each day yet because I have no idea what our park days are going to look like as it's a first for everyone. Didn't want to over commit essentially. Looking at our schedule, would you book more ADR's or leave it as is to allow for some flexibility?

Thanks in advance!

ETA: If you think I should book more, any recommendations are welcome :)

Arrival Day
Day one - MK - No ADRS booked
Day two - HS - Topolino's breakfast (1 credit)
Day three - AK - No ADR's booked
Day four - Rest day (no parks) - Ohana dinner (1 credit)
Day five - MK - CRT Dinner (2 credits)
Day six - Epcot - No ADR's booked
Departure Day

Sometimes it's better to have the ADRs and then cancel closer to the time, than it is to wish you had an ADR and then cannot get it. But that's really up to your family, and whether or not there's another restaurant or 2 you'd really like to dine at that is available. Enjoy your trip. 6 is such a great age for kids at WDW!

It seems that there is no harm in booking. Since you have the DDP, I agree that I’d rather have something and change later if necessary. We never do the dining plan and I generally only book 3-4 restaurants and it still seems like we are changing reservations. It makes me feel better to have some booked though. With the DDP, I’d want one booked every day.

With the DDP that includes TS, you really have to have a TS meal every day to maximize it (except for 1 day since you have a 2 credit meal planned). Otherwise you are going to have credits left over.

Oh yes we fully intend on using all the credits - I guess my question was more so, should I book more ADRs in advance or leave it open to decide in the moment?

If you are planning to have TS meals, make the ADRs. It can sometimes be difficult getting them on the spot. You'll be able to find somewhere to eat, but it may not be what you want.

I've seen people get visibly upset when they tried to get a walk-up and couldn't be accommodated.

Since you're spending a whole day at AK, I would try to schedule lunch or dinner at either Tusker House or Tiffins. You'll have plenty of time to do the attractions and shows in the park.

Trattoria al Forno at breakfast and Akershus are both great character meals if you think your daughter wants to meet even more princesses.

You'd still have one or two credits left, so I would try to at least book something that you can cancel later. Maybe 1900 Park Fare for breakfast on your rest day, or a Disney Springs restaurant if you have time on either travel day.

Update - Guys, how about a Crystal Palace res on MK day (no party) for 6:30 that way we are done just before the fireworks start? Good idea, yah?

It can sometimes be difficult to book last minute dining. I would book what you want now and you can always change closer to. You can cancel 2 hours before with no penalty

I think it's a good idea. A correction to a post above...Trattoria al Forno doesn't have characters at breakfast any more.

Late to the party! Crystal Palace is one of our favs, due to how much now 29 year old DD loves it. When are fireworks? I’d allow more time than you think you need to get seated, eat, meet characters and find a fireworks spot.
