Hi,

I planned to book our first time ever cruise for a 4-day cruise in October 2004 (yes I do like to plan in advance!).

I have now just strated work as a classroom assistant and so will not be able to take holidays again with the children missing a few days off of school as I won't be able to miss school!

We have visited Orlando four times in October so this is the only time of year I'm familiar with.

I wanted to ask ,should I choose Easter or end July /August to book the cruise? What is the weather like for both those months? Is it very hot,are there thunder storms etc? Which would be the least busy on the cruise (as well as the parks) and last but not least which of those dates would be cheaper to do the cruise?

Any advice gratefully received:Pinkbounc

Easter week will definitely be very crowded, since most schools in the U.S. are on vacation that week.

July/August is HOT. We were on the ship on 9/1/02 and it was still in the high 80'sF with 70+% humidity every day.

Not sure on pricing.... you could go the the DCL web site and plug in some dates and see what you get. I don't think the prices for that far out are in there yet, but you could put in the dates for 2003 and see what the price difference is.

Thanks for that:D

Any other thoughts please:confused:

Not 100 percent sure on this, but i think that you will be able to get a much better price for late August than you would for Easter week. Good luck, and lots of us plan wayyyyy out in advance!

I went the end of August this year and it was hot in the parks, but it didn't feel that bad on the ship. The end of August was great because most schools have already started. I live in N.J. and we don't start until after Labor Day so it was perfect for my family. The last week in August is the beginning of the "Value" season for Disney so the price was cheaper. I plan on sailing again the same time in 2004. It was perfect.:Pinkbounc

Thanks for the advice:D

I am going to go for August then.In the UK children return to school about September 3/4/5th.So I'll plan my trip for as late in August as possible:cool:
