Should I book club level for honeymoon?

Here is my question for anyone who has done club level? We will be staying at the WL in a standard room for three nights before going on the disney cruise. It is going to be an extra $540 for club level. Is this worth it? We already have the dining plan, so other than the food what are the other perks? It is worth it for us?

when i first started to read your post i was thinking it is your honeymoon and you should GO FOR IT, but as i continued reading you say you already have the dining plan so it seems like lots of extra money to spend when your meals are already included. you will be getting so much food with the meal plan, that the club level food/snacks seems like excess. they do also serve drinks and alcoholic beverages throughout the day. but the $540 extra that you would pay would be an awful lot of drinks!!

it is a tough choice! we recently stayed at club level for the first time and enjoyed it, but we did not have the meal plan. i would personally spend the $540 on some extra special & great souvenirs or cruise excursions to remember your honeymoon by.

have fun!

Other perks include ease of getting a quick drink or snack when you want it, having the staff make all your ADRs for you (if you are so inclined), flexibility around check out time and help with issues that may arise while you are at WDW.

Whether the extra cost is "worth it" really depends upon your budget and finances and your desire to take advantage of these things.

We stayed there for our honeymoon in 2002 and we also had the dinning plan. We found that it was well worth it! The level of service made the honeymoon even more magical. If you can afford to do it.... go for it!

I personally don't think the club level services are worth it at Disney. I like to make my own reservations for dining and such so I don't use that part of the service. The lounge with food is okay, but we are usually at the parks when it is open and I don't eat breakfast early in the morning.

If I were you I would upgrade to a woods or courtyard view and forget about the club level.

honestly I'd probably spend the money on a towncar service (if you aren't renting a car) instead of ME, and maybe a photography session. the one thing I regret about our wdw honeymoon was we didn't take enough pictures. a session with a photographer would have been very cool. I'm assuming they still do this, they used to when we were married 10 years ago.

thanks- we are still trying to decide. I would rather spend the money on something extra like the photopass cd, but df wants to upgrade our room. Whatever we choose we will still have a great time.

If you have never stayed club level - maybe.

Personally I rarely pay for club level at Disney as I don't find it all that special anymore. My dh travels way too much for business and we often get upgraded to CL because of his status and honestly I don't think its worth the $$. Even more since you have the Dining plan.

Take the $500 and do a fireworks cruise or just save it for the future. I know its sounds like your "mother speaking" but.....

You are going to be at a beautiful resort, you will have a fridge and a balcony. Get a few snacks and beverages and keep them in your room. You are on your honeymoon, don't spend extra $ to have a snack in the lounge when you can hang out with your new DH on your own balcony, etc...

Either way, congrats and have a wonderful time
