Ok so heres the deal, me and my DH will be hitting WDW from October 27th to November 11th. And we are on the QSDP which is great because its our first visit, so we dont know what anythings going to be like, so we get a taste.
However after lots of planning and preparation we have made a few ADR. Including Cali Grill, T-Rex and Akerhaus. Which we are very excited about.. :woohoo:

But should i book Tonys too? I really want to try the Calamari.. i mean really want to.. It looks amazing!!

Thoughts?

Thanks guys and girls!!

Personally, I do at least one sit deal meal per day. I need sometime to rest my feet, cool off and unwind. So, if there is something on the menu that you want to try, go for it!

Look at one of the other Italian restaurants to get your fix. Tony's just isn't good in my opinion.

To be honest, i dont really care for Italian food, i mean from experience it tends to be expensive poor quality pasta that i can cook better myself at home, but i really fancy that app at Tonys.

I wonder if i can get the Calamari to take away... :mickeyjum

Might I recommend Mama Melrose's for your calamari? We loved MM... some don't care for it, but most reviews I have read said the appetizers were good there. I LOVED the calamari there, probably my fav dish. :)

Table service restaurants do not provide take away. Sorry.

You could consider doing lunch there and just have the appetizer and a dessert.

Yeah i thought that might be pushing it..lol
But i think the appetizer and dessert might be a plan!! Thanks x

I'll check out the menu, thanks papamouse!!! x

The only Italian restaurant on property that is the least bit worth going to is Il Mulino at the Swan. And yes, they do have calamari. :thumbsup2

The Cape May dinner buffet also has calamari on a rotating schedule 2 days a week. When I booked our meal there I was careful to make sure we got it, and found it light and very tasty. PLUS the bonus of all the other goodies on the buffet including the crab legs and oreo bon-bons......mmmm......

I agree. Tony's is one of the worst meals we've had in our 10 day trip. My son agrees' 100%. But then again, I havent tried the calamari...I dont like seafood. I know someone who has tried it and said it was good. If you really wanna try it that bad, then go for it. You can always go there just for appetizers and drinks.

I was just looking at the menu for Kouzzina, and you can get calamari there too. Just tossing a non-Italian option out there for you. ;)

To be honest guys, im kinda going for the whole Lady and Tramp theme, and the calamari looks amazing. We've decided we are only having appitizers and desserts, so really if that goes wrong, i'll be the first to post and tell you all. You know after ive complained to our (hopefully) very helpful waiter/waitress!!!

Only 91 days and counting!!!!

Never had the calamari, but we really enjoyed Tony's on our last trip! :) Great theming, great service, and the food was great (I ordered a pork dish, no pasta).

I think your plan to get an app and dessert is a great one. There is no reason not to, if it's what you want to do.

I was at Tony's over 10 years ago and all I remember about it was that it was a cute atmosphere. It regularly gets bad reviews here, but so does every single restaurant in the world, from time to time. If the calamari looks good to you, go for it! (and let us know how it is!)

Thanks for the tip...I love calamari, but sadly I haven't been able to find anything that matches the calibre/quality of Fisherman's wharf in Cape Town,South Africa.

I am quite excited to try this though.:cool1:

Thanks guys, i really appreciate the positivity. I definately agree, i mean so many people have different tastes and likes, that its got to be be more of a subjective opinion than gospel!! I shall be doing reviews when i get back!! Definately!!
