Should I be worried???

I am a new DVC owner at Saratoga. I want to book 3 studios for the first week in December 2019. With all the talk about walking reservations should I be worried that this will be impossible at the 11 month mark??

Absolutely not! If you book at 11 months at SSR I"ll guarantee you'll be fine. Seriously.

At Saratoga you will be fine. You should not expect to be able to switch at 7 months.

I second what other people have said. Saratoga should have excellent availability at 11 months. First of all it is the largest resort with the most rooms over all. Second it is one of the resorts that is in lower demand and generally only fills up in the last few months.

That being said, early December will be a very high demand time period. So you probably won’t want to delay very long if you have specific ideas about what type of room you want and the location you want

We have never not gotten exactly what we wanted when booking right at the 11 month window.

That said the first eek in December is the biggest demand week of the year book as soon as you can and have a back up plan like maybe a 2 bedroom and you should be fine.

You will NOT have a problem getting what you want at SSR. That's as close to a guarantee as you can get with DVC. Don't worry. Just mark your calendar for the booking date and hang out here while you wait.

SSR will be going through a refurb Starting in 2019, so a good block of rooms will be off the market. Will you be safe. I think you will at 11 months. Also things really depends on Star Wars, most do not think it will open until late December.

I guess that it will also mean that those blocked rooms will at some point AFTER the 11 month window be put back into the inventory for everyone to book.

If the past is any guideline for the future then waitlists will not pickup any of those rooms.

I've never heard of anyone walking SSR. Rooms that might need to be walked would be BWV standard studios/2BD; AKV concierge and VGF during super busy times.

I remember a person or two at least asking about it. And I definitely remember someone who had gotten so freaked out by the talk of needing to book day by day who did that with SSR. That was just a short time prior to them changing to the new check in plus 10 booking as it had gotten so out of hand that people were doing it with SSR!

Make sure to call and have them note that you are traveling together so they at least make an effort to have them close if this is important to you... love the resort myself but it is super huge
