Hey everyone! I've been reading through the posts, but haven't posted in awhile...just reading through everyone's great ideas, tips, and planning updates. But I feel as though I've become a little bit of a lazy bride :rolleyes1
Should I be worried that at the 6 month mark I still don't have an officiant or any ideas about someone to do my hair/make-up??? I was hoping for Rev. Day, but he's not available. I'm not sure who to pick - I don't know what I'm waiting for?!?!? :confused3
As for the hair/make-up situation: who does everyone recommend??? I saw Maggimus' TR and am worried about whoever she used (don't remember) - I know one bad review shouldn't sway anyone, but it worries me. Also, I want my hair down (hate it up) and haven't seen many pics of brides w/out up-do's. Any suggestions or pics from girls w/ experience???
I go for a little mini PS and cake-tasting Monday, hopefully it will get me out of my rut!!!
Wow....I didn't realize how stressed I was about this until I started typing!
Any help appreciated!!!! :thumbsup2

Dont stress. You still have time. There other officiants like Tim Herring to do your ceremony. Disney gave me a list of vendors and he plus others were on there. Same goes for hair and makeup. I'm using Beaute Speciale but again there are plenty of names on that list too!

You'll be ready to plan after your mini PS and cake tasting I'm sure! It will motivate you :) Good luck!

I wouldn't worry about being six months out and not having that stuff planned...I didn't even call Disney to book my wedding until about 5 months out!;)

Since Rev. Jack is not available, you might try contacting Rev. Kevin Knox (he did my wedding and he was fantastic to work with!) and another "popular choice" is Rev. Tim Herring.

I'm sorry I can't recommend anyone for the hair/make-up thing...I did my own for my wedding, but again, I'm sure that there is still time!

I know it's easier said than done, but try not to stress! Enjoy making plans and all the excitement leading up to your wedding day!

I'm a little less than 4 months out and haven't decided if I'm getting my hair done there or not!! I still have to book the dress steaming people and fill out all my disney paperwork.... I'm sure there's more that I'm not forgetting.

you're in great shape!

it's funny to me at least how I chose to have a DFTW because I knew they'd take care of everything and it'd be simple, but then there are moments when I feel like "wow, this is TOO simple" or "I need to be doing more!" haha.

Just relax and keep dreaming about how beautiful you're going to look and feel on your special day! :bride:

ps, I'm wearing my hair down too and would love to see pictures of brides with long flowy hair!

I think you're fine. I didn't panic until two weeks before and it was definitely unnecessasry panic! Disney are pros - they won't let you down!

Sorry you can't get Rev. Jack (we loved him) but there are other great officiants, as other posters have said. I had my own hairdresser do my hair, but read the different trip reports and you'll find good ideas and recommendations. If you have pictures of what you're looking for with your hair I'm sure they can copy it. You could also have your own personal hairdresser do a hair trial at home and take lots of pictures of that to have it copied.

You'll be fine - try not to stress :flower3:

Thanks to all for your support! I am at the point where I feel bad talking to anyone else about my wedding issues - I don't want to wear them out this early! You know what I mean....
Anyway, I wish I had a pic of the hairstyle I have in my head!!! If anyone has any hair-down pics from a magazine or wherever, please let me know! I can't find anything but up-do's!!!
I was a little worried about Rev. Herring as I've heard he's had some health issues lately.....I'll try Rev. Knox - thanks for the suggestions!
I knew I could count on you guys!!!
I'm hoping to do a TR for my 2 days up at WDW next week - maybe that'll get me motivated!!!!
Thanks again! :grouphug:

Now that you mention it, I haven't contacted the dress steaming people either
Also, I haven't figured out the tux situation....
OR filled out my Escape-planning paperwork - but my EM said that I could bring it with me next week and we'll do it together (did I mention that I LOVE her????? )

You're probably right, they take care of most everything for you so I feel like I'm not doing a lot! Plus the fact that it's an Intimate so there's not much to do b/c there are so few people!
I'll keep my eye out for some pics for "our" hair and will let you know if I find any! ;)

awww, you're so sweet to call it "our" hair! haha. My sister wants her and I to do our hair like hilary duff and her sister... like this:

which I do think is quite beautiful but I'm wondering if I can do it on my own. Probably not.

I think doing a TR on your trip to WDW will totally get you motivated, plus I'd just like to see how it went! good luck!

That's somewhat what I have in mind - loose curls. But my hair isn't quite that long......I'll keep searching for us!! :surfweb:

I love their hair.......

No need to panic...

We didn't plan ANY details of our wedding until less than 6 months beforehand. (We were engaged for a year prior to the wedding... but got caught up in house hunting.) I didn't have any trouble booking photographer (Randy), officiant (Ron Rosenzweig - highly recommended!), hair& makeup stylist (Anna Wacaser from MakeoverMajic - also highly recommended!)

DH ultimately wore a suit he already owned because we "ran out" of time to go tux shopping! Oh, and not to mention I bought my dress online 3 months before the wedding, after visiting a bunch of places that told me it was too late! So you are in much better shape than I was and on the day of the wedding, it somehow appeared to our guests that we had planned stuff forever!

When it comes to wedding planning, it's always going to feel like "there's something else to do." Hang in there... it will be a beautiful wedding no matter what!
