I booked a trip for 2 late August at WDW. The total including housing, tickets, and dining (free dining) come to be $1053 (didn't buy trip insurance and not including travelling [travelling 6 hours by car so shouldn't be a huge amount]). I was thinking my total would be at least $3000. It is disney after all. It is a 5night/6day stay at POP with a 6 day basic magic your way tickets.

I've never traveled without my parents before (and them footing the bill), but the 3 times we've been to disney I'm sure the total come to around 9,000. Then again, we went during Christmas for double the days and better tickets, stayed at contemporary which is 3x the price of my hotel, and paid oop for the dining plan (When we bought it). But it just seems to be such a huge discrepancy.

I just feel like something is off. I know the weather is going to be really hot with a small shower during mid day, but that doesn't seem too bad. Maybe I'm just being paranoid and should enjoy my trip.

That is about right as three of us all adults are going last week of October and first week of November and with our tickets and room for 12 nights/13 day tickets total is $2231. as of right now we do not have the free dining but hope it will come out like it did last year... we do fly and got that for $240 round trip each...we never buy trip insurance as we bought once and they said was pre--exsisting (was on my Mother) and they would not pay so never again. we stopped buying the park hopper years ago as it waste time going from park to park and we would rather stay in a park all day or half a day and go back and relax and do dinner.. Just be sure you get the ADR'S "IF" you upgraded as you can upgrade your QS :thumbsup2 to where you will have 1 counter service and 1 Table service meal a day and a snack ---it cost $16 each day per adult to upgrade and we enjoy the steak and fish etc so we upgrade. Yes it will be hot and humid no way around that in June thru middle of September and lines will be long but enjoy it...we have been doing the fall so that it is cooler and a little less crowded..:dance3: If your worried something not right or need to call reservations you can call as many times as you want to and change or add things...that is never a problem

Pop at that time is $92/107 (weekday/end) so 5 nights would be around $500.

Adult tickets for 6 days are just under $300 each, so that's $600.

Your amount sounds about right, without taxes on the room. Maybe a little low, but not off by much.

No, that sounds about right base on what we've always paid for September. If you're concerned about it, just figure up your cost for tickets and your room, plus tax. Tax rate for Pop is 12.5%. Since you're just looking at your tickets and room, it shouldn't be that difficult to calculate it.
