We booked out air Monday night by useing air miles (yyeeaa!!!) Our flight leave montreal at 7 am and lands at person at 8:13 am ( sunday may 2) we then have 2h and 25 mins ot get our bags go to us cutsoms and cheack back in. Will this give us the time we need, or will be be starting our disney vaction by running for out plan? both flights are with west jet and we plan to cheack in 24 hrs ahead to save us some time.

SO I am worried for nothing or should be I worried?

That should be ample time. I wouldn't worry about it in the least.

We have done that stop a number of times, had less wait time, but no problem getting through. I'm not sure if you still have to take a bus to get to your terminal, they were doing a lot of construction the last time we went through.

If your flight gets in to Pearson on schedule, that will be loads of time, in fact, you'll likely have time to grab a bite to eat.

If you're connecting with the same airline, you won't have to worry about changing terminals. There is US customs clearance in Terminals 1 and 3.

Assuming your 1st flight leaves and lands on time then 2.5 hours is a lot of time. Since you will be flying WestJet you will land in Terminal 3, collect your checked bags and bring them with you past US Customs and then put them on baggae carousel so they can be sent to your next flight. Finally here is a link to a video from the Pearson Airport website about connecting onto a flight to the United States, when landing from another Canadian city. To watch it click Terminal 3 connections and then click Canada to U.S.

I've had a 75 minute layover in Pearson and had ample of time. You'll be fine.

Has anyone done a CAN-US connection in Pearson recently? I ask because I just did a US-CAN connection in Vancouver, and I didn't have to pick up by bag (though I did last year). Instead, I was shown a picture of my luggage by the US pre-clearance person and asked if it was mine. Made the connection much easier/faster (no waiting for my luggage).

I did have to pick-up my luggage on the way home.

I'm not sure if this new system is only in Vancouver.

I'm not trying to throw a damper here but we did miss our connection on a 2.5 hr layover at Pearson due to a late takeoff from Calgary. It was a muck up from start to end - won't bother you with the details (AC of course) but what I did learn after it was too late that we could have chosen to leave our bags, have them delivered to our hotel (could take up to 48 hours), but would have caught our flight. Depends on your circumstances, but we would have chosen this option as we were almost stuck in TO due to a huge storm which would have kept us there for three days. We were the last plane to leave Pearson for the three days. Obviously in May that won't be an issue, but keep in mind the luggage option.

We just flew thru Vancouver as well..I love that system..I wish it was the same coming home as well..I wonder if they will eventually implement it.

There was a glitch though..the other couple we were flying with were delayed right up until boarding time at customs--there was no photo of their suitcases and they didn't want to let them board without knowing where the bags were..we were freaking just a bit-we were on our way to Vegas! But they let them thru at the last minute and their bags were there when we got to Vegas.
