I called 10 days ago to book a quick trip to the WDW resort using $200.00 worth of incentive rewards certificates I received from Lexis/Nexis. The certificates state that reservations must be six days in advance of travel, and since I wanted to travel before DD goes back to school next Monday (8/15), time was of the essence. The representative I spoke to told me that I had to book a package with tickets to use these certificates. I explained that the certificates state that when used, one must only book a package not a package including tickets. Since WDTC offers a package without tickets and since I have APs, that that was what I wanted to book.
The CM stated that was against policy. When I questioned the policy, my question was ignored, and I was thanked for understanding. I responded that I do not understand, at which point I was again thanked for understanding. I told her, the CM, that she was being condescending, and she told me that she "was getting that feeling from me too," and told me to have a good night. I asked to be transferred to someone capable of rectifying the situation. The person in Guest Services, Lydia Rose, was great while on the phone. However, she did not follow up on any of the things that she promised to do.

1) She promised to have some respond to my original question.

2) She promised to have some call me back to give me an address at which the VP in charge of Flora's department could be reached.

3) And finally, she promised that she, personally, would call me back if she was unable to get anyone else to respond.

Since these conversations occurred over a week ago, and I have not had a response from anyone, the window for the trip I had wanted to take is closed. Now I have these certificates and don't even know if they can even be used. Also, I feel like I missed out on a trip due to Disney's incompetence. (I called back several times to explain the situation and ask when I might have a response, and was told to be patient).

So in this situation, I have been lied to by representatives of the Walt Disney Resort, I have been treated rudely by representatives of the Walt Disney World resort, and I have missed a vacation opportunity because of Walt Disney's lack of response on my inquiry.

So my question--

Should I simply chalk this up to bad luck and throw away the $200.00 dollars in gift certificates?

If not, what else can you do? I have written to Guest services, Erin Wallace, and called numerous times....

I would call back . I have problems with other reward programs and had to talk to several people before they could it right. Good luck.princess:
