Should I be upset if I've just been diagnosed with....

Kitty my sister had shingles last year and she is ummm 35 now. Not so old at all! And yes I have heard it was very painful and she ended up with some scaring from it, but she has always scared extremely easily! Pixie dust to you to feel better.

At least as far as any scarring is concerned.......luckily I'm wayyy past the bikini phase of my life!!!


Susan 514.......that's interesting about your disc/shingle connection. I really think there could be a big possibility in the truth of that!! I still find it pretty coincidental that I had that terrible disc problem and three weeks later develop shingles!!!

I had shingles when I was 8. There were no meds then so I just suffered along! They went completely around my waist. I remember it being very painful.

My step sis(15) gets shingles occasionally on her chest...
my bro(10) got them on his back...


they had cream for it but i remember the crying and the pain ....


good thing i've never got it!...Hope it goes away quickly!

I just remembered: David Letterman is a sufferer of shingles. He was off the show several weeks about a year ago due to a bout of shingles.

Luckily, I haven't missed any work....yet!! I'm still trying to bounce back (financially) when I missed two weeks last month because of the ruptured disc.
