Should I be panicking?

Hi. :) This is my first ever post here at disboards. For a few days now, I have been reading the past messages and was convinced to change our reservation to the YC.::yes:: Before we made this decision, we came along bumps and turns since we were really confused with what resort to stay in. We started out with POFQ, then the Contemporary Garden Wing, and finally we are now booked at the YC.

Anyway, when I call CRO, they confirm my reservation. But when I try to access it through the Disney website, it says that my reservation has been cancelled. What gives? I'm just scared thinking that when we get to WDW, they'll say that we've no reservation... :(

Should I be panicking? Because I couldn't get the uneasy feeling off me.

First and foremost.. WELCOME TO THE DIS!!! You'll love it here!

Second- don't panic! Just call CRO in the morning and explain to them taht you are just confirming your ressie because you checked it on the internet and it said it was cancelled. Do you have a written confirmation from them? Don't worry- it'll be ok! just be glad if it was cancelled taht you caught it BEFORE you went down!!

Definitely do not panic. I have made several changes to my October reservation lately, and with the final switch I received the same message on the website that you've received. I just called Disney (2 times - just to be safe) to verify that my reservation did indeed still exist, and it did - BOTH times. lol:sunny:

Thanks for the warm welcome. :) I just called CRO and they confirmed my reservation. They said that I will receive my written confirmation in 7-14 days. When I get that, I think I can finally rest easy. I won't be able to call them every so often to re-confirm our reservation because being overseas, the long distance charges will pile up.

Thanks again for the advice. Yay! We're all set for our vacation at YC! :hyper:

Hi Twinklebell -
I can answer this one for you because it has already happened to me. When you make a reservation through CRO instead of the Disney Website, you cannot view the reservation on the website. If you make the reservation at Disneyworld.com you can view and modify the reservation via disneyworld.com. I hope that's not too confusing.
When I called CRO last year this is the answer they gave me.

That explains everything! :bounce: Thankyou so much. I really appreciate it. :) It's quite comforting to learn that this is a "normal" situation. I'd hate to be stuck in an isolated case. :teeth:

Why shoudn't we have the privilege of looking up our reservation online if we book over the phone? What's the logic behind that?:confused3

Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but from what I understand (based on the previous posts) CRO handles room-only reservations while the WDWT, who maintains the website, can take bookings for room-only and packages.

So if you booked through CRO (which I did), I'm thinking the reservation won't appear on the website since WDWT handles that.

I hope I made sense. :yo-yo:
