Should I Be Happy with this National Rate?

Have used both National Emerald Aisle and Hertz in the past. Hertz was o.k., and I liked that they could assign me a non-smoking car when I got there, but I really like not leaving the airport with National and the time it saves me.

I am booking 10-15-03 to 10-20-03 for an Intermediate, using Emerald Aisle, using Carlson code and a $15.00 off coupon. Final rate is $122.78.

For our trip over Labor Day there were several PT Cruisers on the Emerald Aisle, and I would be more than happy with this again. Cost is about $22 a day, which is not too bad in my opinion.

Anyone see how I can improve on this?

I know Alamo is preferred at Orlando right now, but their rates were higher by about $50.-- even with a coupon.

$122 is with tax? That's a great rate! I have $156 with tax for 10/1 to 10/6, intermediate, EA, disney club code & $15 entertainment. I keep checking it to see if I can get it lower but it's actually gone up $10.

I used the Carlson Wagonlit off Mousesavers and my total for an intermediate was $136.76 with tax for 12/3 - 12/8. I was scared to try and use a coupon. Has anyone used a coupon with this code and not had a problem?

Yep, I've used a coupon and a code and have had no problems.

LynR, I did so earlier this month with no problems. In fact, they didn't even ask for my coupon when I went thru the exit. Asked no questions about the code either, just wanted my credit card and off I went.

I just got us a full-size at National w/ the Contract ID plus the "One Free Day" coupon from NationalCar.com, four days for $101 + taxes = $132!!!
