should I add the water parks?

My daughter and I have a 7 day hopper and we have 6 1/2 days for the parks. I have been thinking about adding the pluses to our tickets. It would add 5 of them. I already have my plans layed out, but I keep thinking what if we want to do a water park. I have never gone to the water parks before (never been to one ever) I know my 7 year old daughter would like it.

It would cost $90 to add it, if we just went when we were there it would be about 60, so it's 30 more to add it, but I get 5 of them. I just don't know what to do.

Can you get to the water parks either TL or BB from any of the the parks? Or do I have to go back to my hotel? And can I get to the parks from the water parks?? If I add them I will have to redo my plans, AAAHHHH!! :teeth:

How crowed are these water parks in Sept. anyway??

I would add them. My kids love these. You cannot get to and from the parks to a water park. September will still be very hot and a good time to try one or both water parks.

The other thing to remember with the Plus option is that it's not just the water parks that are included. You could also use your plus options for: Wide World of Sports, DisneyQuest and Pleasure Island (might not apply to you since your daughter wouldn't be able to go to the clubs anyway.)

I personally think the waterparks are great. We're going in January, so depending on the weather, the waterparks might not be open...but I'm willing to chance it anyway. And I know we'll use them for the Wide World of Sports and DisneyQuest options even if we can't go to the waterparks.

You'll never use 5 plusses in one trip, especially if you have 7 park days. If you're getting the never expire option, you could save both plusses and park days that you don't use for future trips. We've only ever used our plusses for the waterparks and have no desire to go to the other optional spots, so that would be a tough call if it were my family. I think I would just get one plus for the first trip. They used to have cheaper after 3 p.m. tickets at the waterparks, but I don't know if they still do.

We are the proud owners of 16 plusses, that we have accumulated from past trips, so they do accumulate after awhile.

We always skipped the water parks in the past because we were kept so busy with the other parks and hanging out at the hotel pool. I felt we could do a water park at home, so we didn't waste the time or money at WDW.

BUT, on our last trip, we went to Typhoon Lagoon with our 2 year old and had a blast! We spent half a day there and it was such a great break from the parks. Now, I can't imagine not including a water park in the middle of our stay.

I think you're daughter would really like it and it's a nice change of pace from park hopping if you can schedule it in the middle of your week.

We love the water parks and some trips have gone to them instead of our hotel pool. We go to the parks in the morning then to "rest" we go back to the hotel and hop the bus to the water parks. My DS 11 just loves them!! If you don't go to them regurlarly I would hold off on adding the pluses and just one day if you decide to go just go and buy the tickets. :)

I won't add non-experation on the tickets b/c I know that we will use all 7 days at the parks. My only problem with adding the parks are many of my AR are early for dinner, and I would rather go to a park in the morning and go to a water park in the afternoon. I would have to take another shower b/c I have curly hair, and it would be a mess after the water parks. I don't know, seems like too much touble going to and from the hotel. I would more then likely do it if I could get to the water park from the regular parks, what a bummer.
BUT then I think about my park plans, and I know for us there isn't 2 days of stuff for us at Epcot or 2 days of stuff for us at MGM, we could easily take 2 of those half day mornings for the water parks, then go back to the hotel, and get ready for the afternoon at thoses parks, plus our dinner plans? That sounds good.
Looks like we will add them. Plus I did enjoy the Disney Quest when my husband and I went in '99, we could do that one too. So I know we could do at least 3 of the 5 pluses that they add on. I know my daughter will love the water parks for sure, and I want to go, since I have never been to one. I live in Vermont, so we don't have those things around here. Now I am excited about this! :teeth:

I was reluctant to going to the water park this year, but my kids desperately wanted to go.

WOW, I'm glad I did!! This was one of the most memorable days we had on our trip. What a blast! Not just for the kids, but for me & DH too.

When we go in OCT. we are planning on going to both parks at least once, maybe twice. It's a must do!!!

The first time we went (the only time that I was there for more than just a day...) there were a couple of days where we hit one park in the morning and then a water park in the afternoon. It worked out well for us and gave us a nice leisurely, restful afternoon. Of course we were there in June, so it was super hot and relaxing in the water was nice.

I have naturally curly hair myself...and I just throw it up in a ponytail and/or put a hot on. I just don't have the patience to deal with it...especially when half the time I walk out the door and the humidity washes away all my work in a matter of minutes.

I agree that you can afford to lose a day or two of park touring to do the water parks. I think you should go ahead and add the pluses - as you've said, you could definitely use at least 2 of them, which will make them worth what you pay for them, and if you use three, you'll really be saving! Plus, the water parks are a blast - you'll have a great time!
