Ok, so I don't know about anybody else, but I was absolutely BUMMED out when the FP Delivery Service thread got locked!!!

Oops! Didn't know that it was against the rules to reference something that had been locked. Not trying to violate the rules on my favorite obsession.

Unfortunately, I am unable to edit the title of the thread.

One issue that had been discussed was whether or not it was ethical to hand off fastpasses that you're not going to use.

I've done that before and never felt like I was violating any Disney policy.

:lmao::lmao:

I agree, but don't get yourself in trouble by reopening a closed thread - even though I know you're not doing it to cause trouble.

I've got the shakes myself - what are we going to do now? The reports should be back in a few weeks - 3, I think!

This will get locked very soon and you will most likely get points for it but I don't know why we can't just have a civil discussion. We had a great discussion for a day until some people had to throw in personal attacks.

I was really enjoying that thread. I just don't understand why this happens all the time.

What are these "fastpasses" (is that correct?) of which you speak? Aren't they those things that rich people pay extra for so they can cut in line ahead of me on Splash Mountain.

That's assuming I can ever get to Splash Mountain, I'm still waiting for the bus to Walt Disney World Theme Park. I just keep seeing ones for Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Downtown Disney, EPCOT Center, and some place called "Magic Kingdom".

I didn't get involved in that thread, but secretly I wished it was legitimate, because I totally would pay $90 a day for Fastpasses for my whole family.

There seemed to be two separate issues in that thread:

1) Trying to figure out how this operation is conducted.

2) Debating the rightness or wrongness of it.

I'm interested in the first issue, but not the second one. Maybe a thread devoted to the first issue could remain civil?

At any rate, I think there were two posters who have purchased the service, and one of them (maybe both, I don't recall about the other) said they would report back.

So if this thread gets closed, hopefully at least they will be able to start a new thread in a couple of weeks when they have new information.

somebodys gonna get in trouble if you guys start this over again.

One really neat thing I learned recently was that you don't have to return in the window of time issued on the fastpass. For instance, if I had a FP to go on Expedition Everest and the ticket said return between 10:30-11:30, I had no idea I could return at, say, 1:30. Pretty neat. Is this some kind of unwritten policy?

There, I added a poll that has nothing to do with the FP service. Now if only I had the power to edit thread titles or delete threads altogether! :3dglasses

Oh gosh, you will only find 377 threads on this issue....some of them locked...
:)

So now is this a hopelessly doomed thread? As Han Solo would say, "I've got a bad feeling about this."

It is unwritten policy. BUT....FP do have a statement on them telling you to please return to the xyz attraction between xyz and xyz. That said, many of us use our FPs past the window return time. Most of us don't do it in order to get as many FPs as can in the course of one day, only to use them all just before the park closes. Some people do....but that's way too much work for me.
So...go ahead and use your FP when you wish. Just realize that you 'may' be turned away if your time has expired. Doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

And should WDW offer a FOTL pass? Sure, but it should probably work for one use per attraction, rather than you get to ride TT continually for 4 hrs!!! Kind of like the Dream FPs of yesteryear. Would I pay for one? I don't know. Maybe if it were cheap enough and I wanted to spend less time in the park, but I doubt I would do it for every park, every day.

You can edit your title I'm pretty sure - go to your first post, pick edit, then the Advanced Edit box and you can change it. I recommend that.

pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter i hear someone coming this way. i dont think the disguise worked.:rotfl2:

You can edit the title of the thread. You have to use the advanced screen to do it.

So once you hit edit, then click on the go advanced button. Here you can change the title.

It is even much simpler than that.

If it is YOUR thread (one that YOU started) just click NEXT TO (to the right of) THE TITLE in the thread list (before you open it.)

You can then re-type and change the wording right from the thread list.

This is totally off topic, but I wanted to thank you guys for explaining how to edit a thread title! I had no idea! I've wanted to edit one before and didn't know how! Thanks!

On topic, sort of.

I am a FP collector, I collect FP during our early morning touring, hitting non-FP attractions. I leave the parks for a break and use the FPs when I return in the evening. I love doing this. It works really well for us.

I voted for not changing the system. The system is brilliant and is accessible to all. Still, I would pay a little extra if someone wants to do the leg work for me.

I agree. Something exactly like the Dream Fastpass. A ticket that would be good for one use at each FP location in a given park.

I voted for not changing the FP system. I know it is not a perfect system but it works well for most peoples needs. I feel to charge for it or offer it as an upgrade would put it out of reach for some visitors. I'm not sure if I would pay extra for it or not. Although it would help late arriving guests/hoppers more than the ones who already are there for RD. If someone wants to pay extra to have say a one fast pass per ride upgrade type thing that is fine with me as long as it doesn't stop me from gathering my own FPs for free! That's just my 2 cents enjoy your day.

I know I'm going to kick myself for asking this because I should probably know it, but it just isn't clicking with me. What does FOTL mean?
