Should a tiny package take 11 days to go 60 miles?

Went to the post office Monday AM(going from my medium city to big city 60 miles away)
Mailing a CD
Paid extra for the tracking
Stll hasnt gotten there-unless they post the #'s LATE at night?


Now on DAY 11!!!! And still not scanned!
Postoffice manager told me it was "probably delivered and not scanned

Next time-I'm using UPS!

Not sure where you live, but the mail handling could be affected by the weather if you live in one of the winter storm areas.

Probably could take that long. A lot depends on how you sent it. Did you send priority, first class or media mail. I know here in town we have a central large sorting post office. All mail goes there first and then is distributed to the smaller post offices around town.

In this case, size really doesn't matter. The USPS is inept with packages both large and small.

I've given up on mailing anything other than letters from the PO. I always ship via either UPS or FedEx if it has to arrive overnight.

For Christmas it was much more convenient to go to the local Staples where there were no lines at all and ship everything via UPS. Insurance up to $100 is included and it's tracked at no additional cost, AND my packages have always gotten to their destination on time.

Sorry, I just noticed that you said you mailed in on Monday.

I hope it's not lost either. I'd be worried if I were you, but I think you still have hope--it's probably just held up somewhere.
