We leave next week for WDW and will stay till 11/3. When touring the parks at this time of year do "Disney Veterens" wear shorts or jeans/khakis for most comfort? Thanks for any apparel recommendations---looking at average high and low temps for these dates makes it difficult to determine comfortable dress.

I wouldn't bring more than one pair of long pants. When we went in November two years ago, the daytime temps were high 70's to mid 80's and night time lows were going to be mid-hi fifies so I brought lots of long pants. We never wore them! Didn't think about the fact that the low doesn't hit until the wee hours of the morning. Even if it got lower than 70 before we called it a night, all we needed was a light jacket or sweatshirt. Of course we're from Michigan so 65-70 degrees in December is swimming weather for us!

Heard this morning on the new that a cold front was coming down the state this coming week. But that could still mean you could get away with short and jeans in the evening. You just never know with FL weather and I've lived here most of my life. we will be up there 2 days after you leave and I plan on bring both with me.

Good Luck

Biggest problem with jeans - when they get wet (Kali River Rapids, Splash Mt, etc) you are stuck with wet pants for a long time.

I would reccomend one pair of long pants and a light jacket just in case. Other wise, shorts!

A big part of the answer depends on where you're from. I know from personnal experience. When we lived in Massachusetts, we thought nothing of swimming in November and wearing shorts when we went to WDW. Now that we live in a sub-tropical climate, I didn't even bring shorts last November to WDW and it seemed much too cold to swim.

No jeans here. I leave next week and will be there until Nov. 1. This is our 10th year in a row for an October trip and have never packed long pants. There is an alternative to long pants, we call them capris, quite fashionable. So in addition to my shorts and tank tops I have packed a couple of pairs of capri and tees. My husband takes no long pants whatsoever. I also do not take sweat shirts. After so many trips I've learn what not to pack. I do take a wind breaker, mostly to wear to the airport out of Wash. DC during the early AM. I packed my mickey sweat capris for those lounging around evenings and a couple of my dresser ones for dinner if I need them. We go 4-6 times a year and the only cold times I remember, including the evenings, is our December trip during the MVMCP, Thanksgiving at the WL (had frost), and late April when the weather dropped into the 50s at night....bbrrr. I've been watching the weather on the WDWIG.com site and it's calling for no rain, low 80s (which is hotter than low 80s at home--FL sun is a little different) and 60s at night. If I need a sweatshirt, I'll buy one. Luggage space is very valuable when you're limited to 2 suitcases each and having enough for a 10 day trip.

We're planning on shorts, and I'm bringing a couple of capris also. Another thing to keep in mind. When jeans get wet (on h2o rides) they cause chafing.:(
