Shortcut to Universal Studios from HRH

I've read about a shortcut to Universal from the Hard Rock Hotel, it seems to be around the pool area, but on the Universal board there is conflicting advice, so was wondering if anyone can advise me where it is.....

You just head out to the pool and then as you are looking at the pool go round to the left and there is a gate.

Go out through this gate and follow the little walkway to the right and in no time at all you are at the entrance to Universal Studio's

it is quicker than the water taxis and is a lovely walk. The water taxis are lovely too.

On the US resort forum there appears to be another gate behind the guitar at the far end of the pool which shortens the walk to three minutes.I've never used it as I never knew it was there! Always used the one to the left of the pool which as already said is a nice walk of about ten minutes to US.

This is why I posted the question, it's bad enough being confused about one shortcut, and where to find it, but now there are two??????

We always used the one to the left of the pool bar area. You walk around the right hand side of the pool, pass the bar on the right and there's the gate. You may need your room key to open it.

There are two entrances/exits around the pool area.

The one to the left takes roughly 10 mins to get to the entrance to USF and 12 to get to the entrance to IOA.

The one to the right is for employees only. It's the back of the Beach Club Bar. Ocassionally hotel staff will let you through there. Sometimes the gate will be locked and there will be no access through there. This exit will take roughly 5 minutes to get to the entrance of USF.

Ah! That explains why it's a bit of a secret.Many thanks for solving the case of the two paths.I'll remember to try the 3 minute one next time I'm there.
