Short trip to Disney

One of my ex-girlfriends is coming to visit me for a few days so I booked a night at the Carribean Beach Resort, which gives us a solid two days to wander the parks.

Any suggestions on what to do? I figure that both Magic Kingdom and MGM Studios are a safe bet. I'd love some suggestions for rides and general attractions that are a 'must-see.' The trip will be short, as I said, so I'd like to get a good idea of what to see and what to skip.

On top of that, does anyone know exactly where I'm staying? The grounds are quite big, if I recall correctly, and I know that transportation can either make or break a trip. From those who have experienced Disney a few times before, are there any tips on the best way to get around? Hopefully there is a monorail close by, or something like that.

Thanks for any help / advice.

The Caribbean Beach is a short bus ride away from Epcot, MGM Studios and Downtown Disney, a little bit of a longer bus ride to AK and MK. When I spent some time with a friend that was staying at CBR, we found the transportation to be pretty convenient, with the exception of waiting for a bus at Epcot close, but all busses are going to be crowded at the end of the night.

While at MGM, make sure to ride Rock N Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror ... those are the two biggest thrill rides in the park. I am also a fan of the Great Movie Ride (yes, it's a bit outdated, but I still like it), the Muppet 3d movie (again, a little bit dated, but very funny), and the new Lights Motors Action stunt show (a lot of people say that the pacing of this show is too slow, but I'm a big fan of car chase scenes in movies, so I like watching to see how they set up some of the scenes)

At MK, the 3 mountains are the biggest thrill rides ... Space, Splash, and Big Thunder mountains. All are pretty classic rides. Make sure to see Mickey's Philharmagic, which is probably my favorite 3d movie in all 4 parks. I'm also a fan of the Carousel of Progress, just for nostalgia's sake, and because during the hot months, it's a nice (air conditioned) break. (during the colder months, it's heated)
