Hello,

I'm planning a three day trip down to Disney World 11/30-12/3. My girlfriend will be down the week prior for a conference, but I can't swing the whole week off of work. So what would people recommend for such a short trip? I usually spend at least 5 full days when I do make it to Disney. I will be staying on property so ease of access to the parks is no issue.

Thanks in advance.

Get park hopper tickets.
Prioritize, you can't do it all. I still try to hit all 4 parks, if only for half a day to do my favorite things.
Use EMH to your advantage.
I have done 3 parks in one day when I was solo on short trips, using EMH at first park until about noon, hopping to another park where I have FP, then off to Epcot for the evening.

have you ever been down there during xmas time before? that'll change my answer.. the short answer is be realistic and decide what is really important and concentrate on that.

Pretty much all of my trips are like that. I would recommend hoppers and using EMH to maximize the time you have in the parks. Each day, we tend to go wherever the morning EMH is for the day and finish at the park that is open the latest. Sometimes there's a park in between, but usually just two parks for each day. Fastpasses are booked for the second park, since lines tend to be short in the mornings. This last trip, we ended up not visiting AK at all. It's our least favorite and we had been earlier in the year, so didn't feel like it was necessary to visit AK. On any shorter visit, it's just really difficult to see and do it all, so decide what's most important to you and plan around that.

If you decide to go to MVMCP, you can get base tickets and still fit in all 4 parks.

This past year, MVMCP guests were able to book FPs with their party tickets in addition to FPs booked with their regular tickets for that specific day.

Get park hopper tickets. Go to the extra magic morning park each day. Jump to a later park when you can. Do the same extra magic late hours. Utilize fastpass+. For extra $ you can use the bus express being offered now that gets you park to park without re-entry. MVMCP if it hits on your dates allows you to stay super late in MK.

Just back from a 3 night trip with my DS. If the express bus is still going when you go, totally do it! We did 3 parks on each of two of our days and 2 on one of the others. I also might think about renting a car, especially if the express bus isn't going. But even from the resorts (we did a split stay, talk about whirlwind!), waiting on the busses seemed to be a time sink and made me wish I had considered a car. Know that you aren't going to hit everything, but plan to hit some favorites. We also tried to hit a new thing or two, which always makes a trip unique if you can have a new experience, even if it is just a new snack or drink or something!

I've never been to Disney World during Christmas time, used to go to Disneyland during Christmas every year as a kid. My girlfriend who is going to be with me has never been during Christmas time either and is very excited about it.
