Well, I have never written a trip report before, but I thought I'd give it a try since this was a "short" trip. My brother had a conference at the SD & asked if we (my Mom & I) would like to meet he & his wife (no kids this time) for a few days. Don't have to ask me twice! I'm there! :rotfl2: Would have asked DH, but he doesn't do WDW. :sad2: Once was enough for him.

Anyway, we met at MCO & after finding my Mom's luggage,(I was looking for a black suitcase - it was green :confused3 ), we were off to the Swan. It was our first time at the Swan. It was a very nice hotel, but I was a little disappointed. Others had commented that it didn't feel like a Disney hotel. Now I know what they meant. Somehow, it just didn't. It was just a room. I did like traveling to MGM & Epcot on the boats. However, when going to MK, AK or DTD by bus, it seemed like a very long ride. The bus had to stop at the Dophin, BW, B&YC.

The first night we went to Planet Hollywood for dinner & "Gorillas in the Mist". (Love that drink ;) ) We we got up to leave, it was POURING outside! By the time we left, we decided just to go back to the hotel & relax.

On Thursday, after a late breakfast in the GG, we headed over to Epcot for a few hours with no particular agenda in mind other than Soarin. Afterward, we made our way over to MK to meet my brother (after his meeting). We hit the Haunted Mansion, PoC, Splash Mt -- strange happening - the ride stopped just as you go around the corner when you can look out over MK. We bumped into the other logs in front of us & noticed we were the last log. When the ride started up again, the music was playing, but the characters were NOT moving. :confused3 It was definitely a STRANGE ride. The PoC was interesting - Jack Sparrow looks so real, it's amazing! We also saw the players outside the ride. The Jack Sparrow there looked, spoke & acted just like Johnny Depp! He was absolutely great!. The skit was longer than I thought it would be, & I loved every minute! When it was over, we made our way to the castle for dinner at CRT. It didn't seem very crowded when we got there. We went right in & had our picture taken with Cinderella & went right upstairs to be seated. During the meal, Fairy Godmother & the mice gave us some entertainment. It was cute.

Friday brought us to AK. I think I forgot to mention that it was very HOT :sunny: during our short stay. Somehow, I always feel hotter & more uncomfortable at AK. It was no different this trip! Even though we were all hot, we made our way to Mt Everest. Since our last trip, I have been teasing my brother about him not seeing the Yetti & I did (just like we were still kids :rotfl: ). So this was a MUST. We get there & it's down. So we got a fastpass & decided to go over to Dinoland. We rode the Dinosaur ride & afterward headed over to the games. Remember I said "just like we were still kids"? I challenged my brother to Whack-a-packasaurus. Played 3 times, do I need to tell you who won??? Unfortunately, it wasn't me & I heard about it the rest of the trip. Back to Everest, got right on & he finally saw the Yetti! Since we still had the fastpass, we went right back. Wrong move -- I love that ride, but 2 times right after another was a little too much for me.

Saturday we went over to MGM & headed right to ToT. Walked right on. Saw some of the other shows we always enjoy. After my brother left to attend a meeting, we went into Walt Disney - One Man's Dream. We had never gone in before & we really enjoyed it. We headed over to MK to do some shopping & meet my brother for dinner at Tony's.

Sunday came way too soon. It was time to go. However, we had a great time just being together in our favorite place. :goodvibes Now we're counting down to the next trip - 11/27-12/2 - with same people, PLUS my 3 nieces! :dance3: Ready to go! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you had a great time! We missed the live PoC show - it is something I would have liked to have seen. Maybe next time.

You are so lucky to be going back so soon! I'm jealous
