Wife and I went down for quick trip. It was mostly to seek out vacation/rental condo. We did take time to get my annual pass and she is a cast member.
We first entered the Magic Kingdom on Monday at 4:00. We just enjoyed being on Main Street. We have been many times now and as you know that is sometimes enough to feel the magic. It was very hot and humid. we spoke to cast members and they said first humid time this year. It had stormed earlier in the day and several kids told us their shoes were still wet.
We decided we would take in a couple of attractions. We went first to Splash Mountain. We got a fast pass at 5:00 for 8:00-9:00. Overheard that BTMRR was down from the earlier rain. It stayed that way both days we were there. After getting FP we went to fantasyland to see by chance if COP was open. Of course it was not. We rode Teacups. Sign said 20 minute wait. It took 12. We then went to Buzz. Sign said 25 minutes. It took 35.
We then went to Columbia Harbour House. This is an easily missed counter service eatery. They have salads which my wife loved and sandwiches. I would recommend checking it out. We sat upstairs and watched people walk under the area we were seated as they left fantasyland to enter frontierland.
We went back to ride SM at this time arriving right at 8. We got in FP line. It took 15 minutes to get loaded. Stand-by wait was 110 minutes. After riding we rode WDW railroad to Main Street. Since it was almost time for Spectromagic it was crowded. We went tru the shops on the right of main street eventually coming out at the other end as we caught glimpses of the parade we have seen many times but still love.
We headed back to fantasyland. We noticed that there was no wait for ET alien as there was not much earlier either. Maybe this attraction has seen its best days. We went back and rode Teacups 5 times in a row without getting off. Then we headed over to Toontown to watch fantasy in the sky. We slowly walked back to the front gate partly because of huge crowd. We sat on a bench and let the mass leave. I want to leave a couple of suggestions for first-time visitors:
ALWAYS arrive early. Be at the gate at least an hour before park opening time.
Ride the resort monorail if you are there at closing. Much quicker load and it only stops at Contemporary before ticket and transportion center.
Don't go in the summer with small children (or anyone) in the summer. Take them out of school. We have always done this. My 3 girls were always near the top of their class.

Tuesday 6/10

Today was early entry at MGM/Disney Studios. We were staying at All-Star Movies so we went. The only attractions open were To-
wer of Terror, RNR Rollarcoaster, Muppets 3D. Some of the stores were not open. If you do not do TOT or RNR dont go for early entry. I went hoping the Great Movie ride would be open. (They may change this). It was not. we wetn and did Muppets came back to Movie ride and line was long before it opened. We got in it at 9:15. It took 30 minutes for us to load so i expect it took everyone about this long even the first people in line because they waited. I may be crazy but I noticed NO differences or updates. The reason so long to load: only loaded 2 of the 4 cars. Must have been because of not enough staff to work it. We rode in the last 2 cars and so had the gangster shootout. Red light went out before she shot it. We had an appointment so we had to leave the park.
We arrived back at the Magic Kingdom at 4:30. Was going to get haircut and barber shop was closed. We went to Town hall at 4:50 and made 5:10 PS for Liberty Tree tavern. Meal was good would do again. We got cast memeber discount of 20% but they charge cast members tip at 15% regardless of party size. We rode Haunted mansion and greeter was from the next county over from us. I am glad they started wearing name tags with locations again. We left after this.

We truly love this place. We plan on working there someday. When you know you will be going back it makes it easier to leave.
I will answer any questions here or send email Thanks for reading.

We ate at Columbia Harbor House on our last trip and I agree, its good and easily overlooked. Thanks for sharing your trip. :)

How did you like the AS Movies? Was your room near a pool? How about the buses, were they convenient or what? Thanks.

All-Star Movies was great. We have stayed before. We do not use the buses just because of convenience of going and coming on our time. We also had to leave parks to go elsewhere. We used them before i like them. Wife doesn't. May have to stand at park closing. If you fly and only go to WDW they will do just fine. They do run frequently. we stayed in Calypso close to food court and pool.

Loving the reports - Thanks for sharing!!!!
