Hello Campers.
Been quite awile since i’ve been on the DIS board. Kids are all grown. Time to take the grandkids to see the Mouse.
My wife and i want to spend a week at the Fort and then join our family members at an AirBnB resort Villa in Kissimmee for a second week.
Does anyone have any suggestions for short term storage locations for a 34’ travel trailer?
Thx

I can’t really answer your question directly, but I can give you some ideas.

We have previously asked at the Fort if we could leave our camper in overflow while we visited somewhere else, not a Disney resort, we were told no.

You can TRY to ask some of local RV rental companies if they will let you store your camper with them for a week for a fee. I don’t know if they do anything like that, but it doesn’t hurt to ask. I would try Meacham’s and I know there are a few other Disney preferred vendors.

Good luck!

Hi Mike!

One thought I had was to park it at the MCO airport for oversized vehicles (better than no choice at all).

I know that folks have been recommended to the Oversized lots at MCO and Port Canaveral after a WDW vacation (for a flight or a cruise) so it is an option (up to 90 days) for you if you don't find anything better.

Nice to hear you are about to introduce your next generation to the fun of WDW.

PS - I'm not saying this is the most convenient or economical solution for your situation and location; what I AM saying is it's fall-back if nothing else comes up.

Who am i kidding, the grandkids are just an excuse for me to get back down. Mar/2018 was our last trip.

We've left our 5th wheel in Auburn Alabama for $75 a month, then Perry KOA for $100 a month. I called the KOA Southwest that we have stayed at a few times about a month in May. They said they weren't busy in that time frame so they would put us on a back-in full hook-up site for $125 for the month. We knew we were coming back frequently so it was much cheaper than dragging it back to Illinois. It was tough to leave it down south the first time, but it all worked out ok.
