I'm picking up another DISer at MCO, and I have no idea where short term parking is. Can someone please give me good directions as to how to get to short term parking?

Also, where can I meet her? Can I meet her in the 'lobby' just beyond security?

I am not aware of any short term parking lots at MCO. If you park for 30 mins or less it is free. I would meet her in the lobby and then you could both go to baggage claim together.

So Kathy, where should I park?

Park in the deck across from the terminal--there will be a small fee $2 or so for an hour after the first 30 minutes. You will not be able to wait past security, only ticketed passengers are allowed there.

The parking garage is very easy to use. Find out what side your friend is coming in on and park on that side. You take the elevator down to the tunnel and then take the escalator or elevator up to the 3rd floor to your designated meeting point.

The problem with waiting right as they come out of the secure area is knowing which side they will come out on. There are signs directing them but you can go out either side.

Are the signs to parking well marked? I've rented a car many times from MCO, but wasn't watching a sign for parking. Is there parking in the main terminal? I remember seeing the signs for the satelite lots, but would like to park closer if possible?

You don't want satellite parking. It is well marked for parking. You won't have any problems. Just remember where you parked because it is easy to get turned around since there is two sides to the garages.

You enter the parking garage, park, take the elevator to the tunnel, then take an escalator or elevator to the 3rd floor.

You want to park at the Terminal Top parking garage.

I have picked up my dad like this several times. Usually he does not have checked luggage when I do this, but I did pick up another DISer parking here with luggage. You can go back up from baggage claim.

The signs to the garage are pretty easy to spot. Once you get up to the uncovered deck of the garage, watch for the Terminal Top signs. They are small! This link above should help.

You can reach terminal top by entering the regular parking garage. If you park in terminal top you take the elevator down to the ticketing level. You will be near the food court.

Cost is the same. Personally I think it is easier to park in the regular garage than going up to the top of the parking garage and over to terminal top parking.

Kathy, are the signs for main terminal parking well marked? I'm worried about missing the signs. Thanks!

Thanks, Kathy! I'm glad to hear that the main terminal parking is well marked; I'm nervous about missing the signs. Thank you!
