I will be at WDW from October 29- November 1 (4 nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday).

I would like to try renting a studio at the BWV. I would like to try renting on Sunday/Monday (Oct 31/Nov 1). This is 18 points total.

Questions:
1) Do renters deal with this small number of points?
2) Am I too late to book a room at BWV (4 months in advance)?
3) Will housekeeping take care of the room prior to my entering the room for this short stay? If not, can I pay a fee to have it done?
4) Will Disney transfer my luggage from another resort to the BWV?
5) How far of a walk to Epcot? Are there long waits for boats from MGM after Fantasmic! ?

# 1 can not answer
#2 probably not-slow time of year
#3 the room will be cleaned before you enter
#4 yes
#5 it is a short walk from MGM-do not need to wait for boat, same goes for EPCOT

Some do. Post your request on the Rent/Trade Board and see what kind of a response you get.
2) Am I too late to book a room at BWV (4 months in advance)?
Probably, but you never know what availability is until you call. Food & Wine Festival time is a very popular time for the EPCOT resorts.

When you check in, you will be given a clean room - just like you are when you book for cash directly through Disney. Daily housekeeping after that is not provided unless you pay a fee. It's $25 for each day requested for a studio.
4) Will Disney transfer my luggage from another resort to the BWV?
Yes.
5) How far of a walk to Epcot? Are there long waits for boats from MGM after Fantasmic! ?
Epcot is an easy 5 - 10 minute walk from the BWI/BWV lobby, depending on your speed. You may also take a boat.

Yes, there are usually fairly long lines for the boat after Fantasmic. There is a lighted walkway between MGM and the BW. Takes about 15 - 20 minutes for an average walker. We always beat the boat back and prefer to walk, especially after Fantasmic.

Best wishes -

18 points for 2 nights? You're assuming a standard view is available for F&W at 4 months? Highly unlikely.

The standard view room is not available, and even a preferred view is iffy. I checked three weeks ago for someone who wanted to rent, and the first two weeks in October were completely gone at that point at BWV. They ended up taking the week that begins with Sept 26, and there were only preferred view at that time(not boardwalk view). There were a few rooms available at the end of the month for odd days--not consecutive nights--but I imagine that those may be gone by now. It will help if you have other resorts or other weeks available, but be prepared to pay for preferred view, since standard view always goes first.

Let me guess...you're from New Jersey (like me:D ). I'm saying this because you probably have the same school schedule that we do -- you get election day and NJ Teacher's Convention days off all in that same week. I think children only have one day of school that week -- the time period you're talking about.

I think that will likely be a big obstacle for you in terms of availability. I've actually heard CMs call it "Jersey Week."

Good Luck!

Standard view is not available for those nights (10/31 & 11/1). I currently have guests for whom I have waitlisted Std view night-by-night for those nights (a waitlist I initiated 10 months out), so my guests will get it before you, kidd_freeper. You might be able to score preferred pool/ garden view at 12 pts a night (24 total).

Good luck!
