Short rant...reported a driver

This whole thread makes me very nervous to use an ECV in my upcoming trip, esp since I'm going during Thanksgiving week, which I know is a very crowded time. I really don't have a choice about it---no way I am going to survive all the walking at Disney with 2 newly-replaced knees. Just--I'm not a very assertive person. I hate confrontations. And goodness knows I don't want to waste time I could be using in the parks because somebody can't be bothered to pick me up!

(Sigh.)

47 days to go...

One thing that can help is to avoid what you know will be particularly busy times... for example I would never leave a park right after the fireworks... hang back and wait... for me this makes for a much more relaxing trip anyway since I don't feel like I'm constantly jockeying for a position in the worst of the crowds...

Honestly, although there can always be one bad egg, most bus drivers are so kind and helpful... with all the folks they have to deal with in a day, I often marvel at their patience...

Relax and enjoy!

The only time I've had bus troubles while traveling with my ECV is at the BWV trying to go to Downtown Disney. I've had such bad luck trying to do that, that we never go to Downtown Disney anymore. Last time we tried I had 3 buses come and go without me because there were already people on the bus and all 3 bus drivers said they would call for another bus for me and each time another bus come it already had people on it. I don't remember how long I was out there waiting but I know it was a long time with a long wait between each bus. I told the 3rd bus driver that his was the 3rd bus that was leaving me behind and he said he would send yet another bus. I was finally let on the 4th bus to arrive. I've never attempted to go back to DD since.

The bus should not be taking other guests who arrived after you did while leaving you behind. If the bus driver announces to those aboard that he won't depart without you chances are that those aboard will clear the back door area. This requires cooperation by dispatchers and supervisors to not record the arrival time for that bus run.
