Short on points... Can I buy one time use points

We are wanting to rent a large room and are 30 point short by use year and borrowing from the next year. Can you buy points from DVC to make up the difference???

Actually it's 24 points . You could probably go to the rent/ trade site and find what you're looking for. Or David's.

You can also get the points transferred to your account from another member. This is different from renting as you stay in control of your reservation but you will find that prices are similar. See the rent/trade boards.

You can only do it once in a year. May sound strange that you would need to do it after you were already out of points. We had a reservation change and needed 1 more point but because I'd already bought some points for another ress. that year I couldn't buy 1 more point even thought I had not used all 24 possible purchase points.
