Short on Food & Bev Min...Help Me Spend...

A little more than $100!
Our food and bev min is $1396.
Pre-reception, Dinner and Dessert TOTAL I'm at $1290.
I have $106 left to go! HELP!!!
Here are my menus...
Pre-reception: Cheese and Flat Bread Display
Dinner: Cheddar Soup, Caeser Salad plated table side, dual plated beef fillet with blackberry demi and parm crusted chicken with limoncello buerre blanc, basil mashed, veggies
Dessert: Rice Krispie Mickey Heads, bride and groom chocolate covered strawberries, and chocolate peanut butter marshmallow squares...

I've been so worried about being frugal that I'm short. $100 bucks!

What about the All About Mickey centerpiece? I think it runs around the price you need. It is a chocolate Mickey with some other items (can't remember what)

ooohh! What is this? Pictures anyone???? My only thing is that we have A LOT of chocolate..
Now, I say you can never have too much chocolate...but...we do have A LOT of chocolate...

Scroll down to post 13. Are the strawberries you already have on your list like the ones in the photo? If they are it would be a nice way to enhance their presentation. I think Mickey is very cute and looks nice with the strawberries. Someone on here had 2 of them but I can't remember who to post the pictures.

We aren't doing alcohol. I wanted to have a Limoncello shot from DCL's Palo as an after dinner drink-but DH would prefer not.

Yes, those are the chocolate strawberries...I wonder what the cookies and what look like butter balls are. Might be an idea...thanks!

I have decided it is so cute I am emailing my planner to add one to our menu for next week. What is another $100 at this point I will let you know what everything taste likes.

When I looked to add ice cream with our wedding cake it was either $4 or $6 each. I can look it up if you need me to.

Yes. Please keep me posted on how everything tastes! I really want to know about those butter balls! YUMMM! Chocolatey balls of goodness! (can you tell I'm a chocoholic!!!)

Not sure about the ice cream...Not sure what the weather is going to be like in November...ice cream could be too cold. Maybe hot chocolate???

Yup...Sorry forgot to add that...but yes, it includes soda and water for 3.5 hours.

We're an escape package-so we've added on the meal.
I'm pretty sure I swiped my meal from parts of yours and Toni's Glad to hear the limoncello beurre blanc is awesome. Not sure what I"m more excited about-the wedding or the food!!!

I don't know the per person price because they were included in my buffet price.

DH nixed the ice cream...We have a couple ideas -beefing up the pre-reception, have to add vendor meals, and seeing if some presentation stuff will bump up the cost...This is a wonderful problem to have LOL

I know you said you aren't serving alcohol, but have you considered doing a specialty non-alcoholic drink? It might be a fun addition and there are some great recipes out there that could fit in with your wedding colors/theme. Some of the more unique ones I have found are from a book called "preggatini's" actually marketed towards pregnant women, but I think are great alternatives for any occasion. Just a different idea.
