short on DVC Points for stay...

Just wondering how one would go about something like this? You need 104 points. If they only have 100 points...how would you be able to get another 4 points? Just curious? TIA!!!

You would borrow from the next year, or else choose to pay for 1 entire night on cash (can't mix points and cash for the same night) and either use or bank any left over points into your next year, as appropriate.

Can't you rent points from another member and have then transfer to your account?

In theory, yes. In practice, it may be difficult to find a member who's willing to use their one transfer for the year for 4 points.

You never know when you might find a match! Maybe someone used up all but 4 of their points!

I agree with the above posts that borrowing....if you can, is easiest.

I needed 3 points for our upcoming stay in January. No one would rent me 3 points but I did find one wonderful person who would rent me 30, for one of the nights. It was less than I would have paid for a cash ressie. She was great to work with and I found her on DVC rent boards here!
