Short OKW visit--what would you do?

I succumbed to the $117 SW flights from PHL to MCO in May, and we're staying in a studio at OKW for 4 nights.

I think we are going to keep park visits to a minimum (which for us means we won't go everyday:rotfl:--although everytime talk of this trip comes up, another thing to do in a park gets mentioned), and I'm wondering: if you were us* what would you do?

*US:
DH48 starts to count how quickly the vacation is ending as soon as it begins. A culprit in the mentioning things to do, this morning it was Timekeeper, which has never been open on our Nov. visits. . .

Me45 I am happy just to be able to be at Disney and am great as long as everyone else is having a great time. An accessory in the mentioning things to do because when DH mentioned Timekeeper, I automatically said: Maybe Noodle Station will be open and I can finally eat there. . .

DD8 has expressed interest in the water parks. We usually go at the end of November, so this May trip might be just the opportunity to try that out. She has casually mentioned about 14 things she'd like to do on the next trip, so her list it too long to address (but I will say it includes Bibidi Bop. Boutique and getting a Pal Mickey)

DD6 still young enough to be happy to go along with the rest of the family, and I think she just thinks the rest of us are plum crazy on every level. Loves pools, Test Track and itzakadoodles!

I feel like it sounds princessy, but this just seems like such a short trip to us (when I pay airfare, we try to squeeze at least a week in, and have managed 8 or 9 nights most trips) because we can't even fit in everything we want to do on the longer trips.

I Know, I Know, we'll be going back, but sheesh, it's hard to figure out what to do. Plus, were out of our element staying at OKW.

Maybe after we've done this 20 or so times, we'll be better able to manage!!?:rolleyes1

If your kids love the water do both water parks with a day at MK between. If you can stay away take the 4th day just to relax and enjoy. OKW is a great resort to do this at since it is much less busy feeling than BCV which looks like has been your place to visit the last couple of times. Rent the little mini boats and drive around. We did this without the kids and it was fun. The pools are nice at the resort so try them all. DTD is close and there is plenty to do there also. We are on the new side of our DVC membership and it is hard not to go out of control but we have tried to remember that we have plenty of trips ahead and to take it at a comfortable pace. Especially in the heat. Have fun and tell your DH to relax, HE"S ON VACATION! so he should have fun!

Enjoy your trip.

My DH and I did a very short, spur-of-the-moment trip last month at OKW and
never went to the parks. We went to DTD, and toured all the resorts. ALL of
them! It was awesome and so relaxing. I don't know how this would go over
with kids but the two of us sure did enjoy ourselves. Aaaaaah.............:thumbsup2

Forget the Timekeeper idea. It's closed, but perhaps the new Monsters Inc. attraction in its place will be open by then.

ANY trip in May should be a park trip for all the wonderful topiaries and flowers and concerts for the Flower and Garden festival. Four days is a short time.

Yes, do take some time for the Flower Show at Epcot. There's usually a play area for children, and a butterfly garden and maybe ladybug releases.

I think you guys are so lucky to have SW out of Phila. A friend of mine just booked that airfare for dates in March!

Bobbi:goodvibes
