Hey guys! This August, I'm going to be flying to WDW with my sisters and my mom to celebrate my 16th birthday! :woohoo:

First off, I'd like to say that my hair is straight with an a-symmetrical bob cut. My longest layer is at my shoulders and some of you may know this cut as the "Rihanna look".

I've read many threads about how to style your hair for the humidity in Florida. When I had long hair, I found it easy to put my hair up in a pony tail or create a simple up-do. Now that I have short hair, I'm not too sure of ways to style my hair while at WDW. Any suggestions? :confused3

Anti-frizz serum! It can work wonders. And pack Bobby pins and headbands. On those super hot they can be a savior.

And I did my Sweet 16 at the world too-so much better than a party.

First off, congratulations!! What a way to celebrate your Sweet 16!! :bday:

You can never predict how your hair will look in the humidity. Do you look good in baseball caps? Headbands? How about the elastic head bands used by soccer players?

Before your trip, have fun experimenting with different styles. You could even do the "scrunch and go" look.

At 16, I'm sure you will look beautiful no matter what. :cutie:

I have very straight hair and usually it is well-behaved, but on a recent trip to the Carribean, it was nasty... every... day. Even with product less than a half hour after styling it.

One way I saw someone wearing her similiar hair - bob length - as mine is as well - was a really pretty silk scarf covering the top of her forehead... no hair showing below the edge and tied at the base of her skull. She had it folded to about 2 1/2 inches wide. I think this would work well for bangs AND no bangs. And you could throw a hat for sun protection on or off while pretty much avoiding hat head.

Headbands. The really thick kind that holds it all back.
I've got some cute ones from Spain a few years ago that kind of look they're bandanas in a bunch of colours, they are probably my favourite to use.

Though I have to say, I'm looking forward to going whilst I've got long hair for the first time, it'll be so much easier to tie it up and keep it away from my neck and face!

Thank you so much everyone! I'm going to experiment with all of your ideas before I go away to see what works best. :goodvibes

It's been said and I agree too! Bobby pins!!

Have a FABULOUS Sweet 16!!:hippie:

Enjoy!
