Epcot February 12

ok, so we missed 27 inches of snow in New York and we are in Florida BUT it's cold!!! I mean, New York cold!! no problem, we'll layer up and grab the bus...made some friends waiting...get to Epcot and head straight for Soarin'. thanks to these boards, we knew Test Track was closed until Wednesday... only had a 15 minute wait - my daughter sent photos via our cell phones of the snow which we shared with the other riders...and the ride, it was fantastic! we were in the second row ( next time, first row) on the bus ride to Epcot we had discussed ride strategy with other guests and of course we all ended up going the same way for the early part of the day. Soarin was so good, we grabbed a fastpass for later in the day. rode Spaceship earth for the first time ( my bf was amazed the giant "golfball" actually had a purpose! :rotfl2: ..the ride was ...nice.

we ambled ( what a great word)! towards the World and went to the Friendship dock for a quick ride to Germany...first timer here, very, very nice! what I'm enjoying most about this "adult" trip is the slower pace...discovering things I was always rushing by with my children in tow... my bf was hungry (of course) so we hit the Liberty Inn in America...great, great double cheeseburger and mmmm, warm apple cobbler for dessert. we shared the plate which was more than enough for 2 people.

2 1/2 years ago, I had purchased a cuckoo clock in Germany...well, one of our 4 leggers played with the chain and managed to mess up all the works. I wanted to thank the CM - Manager Karen who was able to locate the directions for me to get my clock back on track...thank-you!

we visited Italy, Japan and Germany and walked around back to Soarin.. the great thing about fastpass is yoiu can use it anytime during the day...when we went back the wait time was 105 minutes..with fastpass, we waited 7 minutes! rode the first row this time! :thumbsup2 fantastic ride!!

got lots of shopping and browsing done...it was SO cold in the AM, my bf bought the Disney denim jacket celebrating 50 years...at $69 , it was a fantastic buy! being guests of WL, it was nice just to send packages back to our resort....didn't have to worry about losing anything!

we had 7:30 ADR's for Coral Reef but I was beat ( and really cold) so we arrived at 6:45pm...the place was packed! we requested a window seat and were seated at 7:08pm...not bad! first timers, I was simply amazed by the huge tank! our server was Roberto and he deserves a AAA+ - incredibly attentive! the food was delicious but the view, oh my!! the dive tour was on while we were seated and there were close to 15 divers in the tank - along with the most gigantic turtle I've ever seen! it was absolutely the best experience...the divers stopped to wave at us and watch us eat.. :rotfl:

briefly, we had appetizers of shrimp cocktail, with main courses of crab cakes and the 12 oz strip steak...but the dessert :cheer2: WOW !!! it was called the chocolate wave and in ALL my 49 years, I have NEVER EVER had anything so delicious!

ok, enough said...once again, luck was on our side and our bus was waiting as we got to the depot....another magical day in the world...

oh yes, and tomorrow we are going for the DVC presentation...yes, I'm ready to move in!

next: Animal Kingdom ...coming shortly
