Based on previous threads/replies, I plan to email shoreside concierge as early as possible 125 days out. For those who have done this before, do I just need to send an email with the requests listed? Is there a more "formal/friendly"approach? Or just pretty straight forward with the items we want to reserve and any questions we may have?

We sent an email with our requests at 125 days, but I believe there is also a number to call. Email worked just fine for us and they replied quickly.

I sent an email that stated my reservation number, ship and sail date. Then: Hey guys I would like "xyz" if you need any other information from me, please let me know.

I have also booked in-room gifts through shoreside concierge. They asked me if they could charge the card on file or if I wanted to give them a different card. Super easy, and they get back to you pretty quickly.

I have always had quick response frome shoreside concierge. Email with any request and within 24 hours heard back.

Oh wow, that would be so fantastic if I was able to do that also! How did you book the gifts? What exactly did you say in the email? We are coming from Australia and it would be ridiculously expensive to send a fax from here to order them normally, and with our time differences, calling is not the easiest either. I have a whole list of items I would like to order from their in-room gifts lol

Ahhh! One day I will get to Australia!!

I just found what I wanted on the gift/goody form and told them I wanted it in my room on Embarkation day. So for my upcoming cruise in Sept. I requested the cheese platter and the Prosecco. I got an email back letting me know the total and would I like to charge the card on file. Super easy!

You can get these in the concierge lounge at no cost....

You can use the gift order form and fax it to them. I use it to add money to my shipboard account ahead of time so I have tips, etc paid for when I get on the ship.

A bottle of Prosecco and the cheese platter delivered to my room free of charge from the lounge?

No, just get it in the lounge. If you are on Deck 12, the rooms are on either side of the lounge. If you care on Deck 11, its just up one flight.

Sent my email last night. Will they reply/confirm, or do I need to follow up with a phone call to make sure it was received (or call after a certain amount of time if confirmation email not received)? I actually sent it a few minutes late due to work...hopefully that won't work against me!

They are good about getting back with you pretty quick. You don't need to send a follow-up. You will get an email that shows they got yours and will reply shortly.

James from shoreside concierge actually called me yesterday to let me know of the adult beverage tastings on our cruise next month! While we were on the phone, I requested ginger ale in our refrigerator in lieu of Sprite and diet coke (more) instead of coke.

Then he emailed me the options for the tastings, I responded by email with our choice, and received a confirmation email this am. I am quite happy with shoreside's service.

Thanks for the replies! Got a reply last night and will finalize requests later tonight. Can't wait for our first cruise!
