I have a couple of questions. We're on the 10/2/04 7-day Eastern.

They've switched Ste. Maarten to Antigua. However, DCL website does not list any shore excursions on Antigua. Any ideas?

Secondly, DD (12) wants to swim w/dolphins (Mom did it in Sea World San Diego), and I can't find any excursions that list it specifically. Anyone know of anything? I'd even stay in Orlando an extra day & go to Sea World Orlando--except I don't see that they offer it either.

This board has been a great resource for me. I wish I knew about it before our last cruise! Thanks to everyone for all of your time & advice!

is the sister park to seaworld orlando and it offers a day to swim with dolphins. Look at www.discoverycove.com for details and pricing.

I'd highly recommend Discovery Cove , the dolphin swim was incredible and you get a full day snorkelling , swimming, sunbathing and a great lunch all included, you get all the facilities on non swim as swim except for the dolphin interaction.

Have a great trip

Thanks for the quick replies. I went to the website & ordered a brochure. I think we may just have to plan an extra day!

Epcot - Living Seas!

Program : Dolphins in Depth

I compared this program that I did in November with a friend who did the discovery cove adventure. Dolphins in Depth gives you much much more one on one time with the dolphins. My friend was seriously disappointed with Discovery Cove.

Personal feedback: Dolphins in Depth is a great educational program with about an hour in the water with the dolphins in the living seas aquarium. Its all up to the dolphins how long you get to stay. Rainer and Calvin were in a great mood so we spent a good amount of time with them.

Basically 5 to 1 ratio.
Trainer
3-5 individuals
1 dolphin.

Check into it :) It was $150 for the program when I did it. And the memory is priceless :)

I have no experience with Discovery Cove, so I can't make a comparison, but I will echo Anlashokna's endorsement of The Dolphins in Depth program at the Living Seas in Epcot. My wife and I did Dolphins in Depth about a year-and-a-half ago, and we thoroughly enjoyed the program. If you're interested in reading a bit more about it, here is a report I posted to the DIS after participating in the program: Dolphins in Depth Report

Regardless of which program/excursion you choose, enjoy your encounter with the Dolphins! They are wonderful creatures! ::yes::

we haven't done Dolphins in Depth, but we have done Discovery Cove and LOVED it. After disembarking the Magic 9/3/2005 (after the 14 day repo cruise) we're considering Discovery Cover for a day before flying home.

I have been to Discovery Cove twice now, and i can't say enough about how wonderful that place is. The price is high, but when you see all that is included, it really makes it worth it, especially getting free admission to sea world, and i believe now they also offer free admission to busch gardens as well.
