Quick Question - I'm interested in booking a shore excursion that is full on the Dream this summer in Europe. I know to keep checking everyday for an opening, but can you get on a waitlist at Guest Services on the ship?

What excursion? Maybe we can advise you if you can do on your own easily.

I would like to go to Disney Paris - I know it's a 3.5 hour drive, so I would like a transportation method that includes access to bathroom :-) Also concerned about making it back to ship in time of course, which isn't a worry if I'm on a Disney excursion. That has saved our bacon once, We were late on a Disney excursion, I was the last passenger back on the ship, they waited for us, about 15 minutes.
Thank you for any thoughts/assistance! We are on the July 15, Barcelona to Southampton Cruise

It depends on the excursion. For some, they do have a waitlist. Keep checking and as soon as you board and the Port Adventures desks are open, head there and check. I had that one booked and canceled it. That was a LOT for the last day on the ship and I knew I’d be toast trying to get off the ship at the crack of Dawn.

And to give you hope, it was sold out after I canceled, but then there was availability. So it may open up before you leave. 😊

If DCL can’t find you a spot, I wouldn‘t do Paris on your own. France is notorious for trafic and public transports (busses, trains) delays, cancelations or sudden labor disputes. I would find another DCL excursion or only venture close to the port.

I agree with this advice.

Alternatively, do you have airfare booked? If not, consider taking the Eurostar back to Paris from London and staying a couple days and doing Disney Paris on your own. Then fly home from Paris.
