I have already established from a previous thread that i need to go to the Contemporary Hotel for a better range of Disney watches.

Any idea what the other hotels offer in their shops? Anything different from the Disney stores? Thanks alison.

All the Disney Resort hotels stock their own "resort" goodies - well worth a look at.

The AKL shop is fantastic, full of African pictures, carvings, jewelley etc. When we stayed there last year they even had a guy from African making animal wooden carvings. Could have (and did:eek: ) spend a fortune.

The Poly resort's shop this year was fun - full of flowery stuff and Lilo & Stitch things. We popped into one of the Grand Floridian's shops whilst over there on our character breakfast and that was very nice indeed.

I reckon they're all worth a visit:hyper:

Me again:wave2:

Another thought if it's Disney watches you're after - think about Walmarts - they have a huge range of Disney watches and a lot cheaper than Disney sell them for. Of course don't let that stop you from visiting all the Disney stores:earsgirl:

Forgot to ask, can we tour the hotels without using a day on the hopper pass and if so what about parking?

You can certainly tour the hotels without using a day on your pass - and you can park at any of the hotels. You will need to sign in with the security gate at each one that you visit, but that's easy enough and you can't miss them!

Alternatively you could park at Downtown Disney and hop a bus to your chosen hotel or you could choose a day when you were at a park and have a 'time out' at a hotel. You could easily have lunch at any of the monorail hotels on your MK day or take the boat to Yacht Club/Beach Club from Epcot.

I love to jump on the boats to explore as much as possible - you can get the boat to PO or OKW from DD.

WL looks really pretty at night and you could get a boat from MK to WL.
As Mrs Dazzle said a trip to AKL is well worth it - you could spend a happy few hours there looking at the animals, browsing the shop and maybe having a meal or a drink.

Have fun wherever you decide to explore!

 :Pinkbounc

I'm not sure whether this was covered in your 'other' thread, but for Disney watches, I think the biggest range all under one roof is in the Downtown Disney Store - there is a whole room there devoted to jewellery, and watches make up a large proportion of it.

All of the resort shops offer something different and are well worth a visit on a non-park day if you want a look around the resorts. :)
