Dear All
Not posted on here for long time due to being depressed about no WDW holiday, but we are now going in August:cool1: after 3 years! My daughter has been doing voluntary work at local riding centre and we need to get her some 'mucker boots' (slowly getting used to horsie language, but not the expense:rolleyes1 ). Will it be cheaper to wait till we get on holiday and if so any recommendations of where to buy some horsie stuff?
thank you if anyone can help:yay:

I'm not sure about America but i got my stuff from a local riding shop (asked at the stables where they got their stuff from). Also if you have a Decathlon or big Tesco's nearby I know they stock horse stuff.

i don't know where it will be cheaper, but if you want to see really wonderful riding stables, visit the Grand Cypress Equestrian Center.
It's part of the Hyatt Grand Cypress complex, just outside of WDW.
If you go out the WDW entrance that's across from Crossroads, and turn left, then turn left again (i think at the first traffic light), you'll get to the Hyatt on the left side of that road. Don't turn in. Continue on the road and the Equestrian Center will be on the right side of the road (just past the entrance to the Grand Cypress Golf Club and the Villas of Grand Cypress).

It's an outstanding equestrian center. And certified by the British Horse Society (i think the only one in the US that is).
Check out their website for more information:

they do have a very nice tack shop that's well worth a visit for any horse people
but i doubt it will be cheaper than Tesco's....but it will be a lot more fun to visit...that i can guarantee...
the website of the tack shop is: http://www.grandcypress.com/equestrian/tack_shop/

Sheplers in Festival Bay have a limited selection of Ariat boots, but a lot of them have cowboy style trim to them. Seemed about half UK price though.

if you goggel saddler of orlando. They have a store near Sanford Airport and the website looks good.

i 2nd the opinion you will not beat decathlon. i always get my stuff there, excellent quality and cheap too.
tracy

Thank you for all your replies. Shame there is no Decathlon in the west country. My daughter likes to look around the shop before buying. The Grand Cypress Equestrian Centre looks fab, might have a look around if we get time. If I come across anything once over there will let you all know.:yay:
