Sooo excited at the thought of shopping while we're there and just wondering how many shops there are / are they expensive (mainly princess dresses) and if the shop/s are like the disney store in the uk?

I usually hate the merchandise and shops in theme parks and avoid them like the plague but DLP is completely different! I LOVE the shops there and, yes, there are lots of them! Pretty much all of the buildings along Main Street are shops and there are two or three shops in each land plus small carts here and there. The shops are all themed to their land/ride etc and while there is a lot of crossover in the merchandise on sale you can also find more specific things in certain shops, etc swords, pirate hats etc in the shop next to Pirates of the Caribbean. As you walk around them take your time to take in all the little details. My favourite is the shop next to the Snow White ride - it has the dwarves cottage built inside it! Oh, and don't forget the Christmas shop in the castle!

Some things are expensive, dressing up outfits in particular, but generally speaking I think it's pretty reasonable (12ish euros for a soft toy, 7ish euros for a pin). I also think it's good quality stuff too. The t-shirt we bought for DD two years ago has washed really well and all of the soft toys are wearing well too.

Ooh that's fab thank you! I can see I'm going to spend a fortune lol
May be a daft q re the castle christmas shop but do you know if they have the big personalised Christmas baubles for the tree to buy? Bought one in wdw few years ago and it broke :(

I actually think I could spend a full day just browsing around the shops at DLP, some of the stuff is unreal, fantastic stuff! The best thing I saw was a fantastic Mickey Mouse onesie, everything but his actual face! Only problem was they were only in kids sizes! GUTTED!

Agree about the price of stuff, it's expensive but not extortionate. They are the odd things that are REALLY pricey but also plenty of little things for just a few quid...

Pretty sure they don't do these because my friend bought my family one from WDW so I was looking for something similar in DLP but didn't find anything.

I'm going to have to allocate a shopping day lol
Ae the shops open late until the park closes?

There is also the World of Disney Store which is in Disney Village which will be open until late, so plenty of choice and time to shop!
