My dh has decided that he wants to go shopping on Black Friday :scared: :scared1:
So his plan is to grab a hotel on the Thursday night/Friday night 'somewhere' over the border. Anyone have any suggestions as to where we should be going/hotel to book?? We typically cross over at Fort Erie.

November 28th as their thanksgiving is Nov 27th this year

I'm planning a USA - ERIE/Grove City shopping trip for the Black Friday weekend PM me for details.

I can' PM yet so you can check out my link on craigslist for the trip details....we go to PA there as there is no sales tax on clothing there and the deals seem to be better.

go to Craigs list toronto and search black friday under events

PA sounds fun!!!

We went to the Falls for American Thanksgiving last November & then went shopping on Friday. We stayed at the Marriott Fallsview, always awesome but did not enjoy their Thanksgiving dinner, that's another story.

I remember watching local tv at 11pm on Thursday night and the midnight sales were gearing up. LOL. We waited to cross until after 1pm on Friday and the crowds at Boulevard Mall weren't bad.

Locals are interested in the 4am, 5am, 6am WalMart & Target type door crashers (you know, dvd players for $15). If THAT'S what you're going for, gird up for huge crowds/lines.

Have fun!!!

yeah I know...we go on these bus trips once a year..always fun...lots of great deals even though we usually leave the toronto area for about 7:00am and cross the border by about 10:ooam and head off to Erie by about 12:30 - 1:pm

We spend 12 hours a day shopping....LOL

My daughter will be playing in a hockey tourney that weekend in the U.S. Just wondering if anyone can tell me how busy crossing the border would be on the Thursday?? Would we be better off crossing earlier or later on the Thursday? Thanks for your help

Anyone with border crossing info on the Thursday of US Thanksgiving weekend? Thanks!

the border times are fine on Thursday ( Thanksgiving ) as long as your cross over early 7-9am......
