Shopping?

So this past weekend my mom took my sister to New York to go to the Disney store for her birthday. It was supposed to be a really cool trip, mom worked really hard to put it together and everything. Well neither one of them knew that the WoD in New York is not really a Disney store that you can shop at like the ones at the mall. So DSis was pretty disappointed about the trip and I feel bad for mom because she worked (and stressed) so much about making this a special trip. So my question is, is there a really huge shopping type Disney store somewhere else or should I be pricing out trips to Downtown Disney?

Are you asking if there is a huge store in your local area (PA)? If so, I haven't a clue, but there is a HUGE store in Downtown Disney....you could get lost in there and I could spend HOURS shopping!!!!

Why do you think that the one in NYC isn't shoppable? I've been there several times... they have merchandise..... and registers.... I just don't get it - whats the problem?? I LOVE that place! They even have characters there sometimes! Its the best.

I'm confused. I thought that the store in NY was pretty much like the one at DTD. A really big Disney store with tons of stuff for sale.

There is a pretty good sized Disney store at the Lehigh Valley Mall in PA near my folks house but the one in NYC is way better than that store. I don't really understand though what their problem was with the NYC store.
