We are going to stay in Quality Inn Plaza Dec 1st this year and are looking for bargain places to shop. Can anyone recommned some good shops within this area. We used to shop in Belz, 2004, and found some good bargains there. I bought a leather jacket, my wife had some other leather goods and our son John had some Disney bargains. We also bought some DVD's and CD's at good prices. This year we are after clothes and DVD's. Any recommendations?

Hi from what I have read the Belz is almost closed under going refurbishment. We love the Premium Outlets near the Crossroads and always get some good bargains

There are outlet shops across the road from the QIP at the Pointe shopping mall.
There is also the Florida Mall which is abour 20minuties drive away or $15 by taxi.

To get the Premium Outlets mall you can hop onto the I-Ride trolley bus.

The GBP is so high right now compared to the USD, that nearly anything you buy will be at 75% off.

PREMUIM OUTLETS IS A GREAT PLACE TO START. YOU CAN GET ALL THE BIG DESIGNER NAMES (INCLUDING THE EUROPEAN ONES) AND STUPIDLY CHEAP PRICES. IT CONTAINS ALL THE USUAL BIG US NAMES LIKE NIKE, REEBOK, RALPH LAUREN, GAP, ETC.

THE POINTE IS NOT AS GOOD AS IT USED TO BE, BUT A GOOD PLACE TO CHECK A FEW PRICES OUT BEFORE BUYING.

FLORIDA MALL IS STILL PROBABLY THE BEST PLACE TO COMPLETE ALL YOUR SHOPPING NEEDS. AS PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED, IT WILL COST ABOUT $15-$20 TO GET THERE.

HAVE FUN AND REMEMBER YOUVE GOT TO GET EVERYTHING BACK HOME THAT YOU BUY!!!!!

I like Festival Bay at the top end of I-Drive, particularly the Ron Jon Surf Shop and Steve & Barrys. It need to have more shops open but for me it's worth a visit for these two shops alone.

You will find CDs and DVD's in Walmart, and a lesser selection in Target. Be careful with DVD's as the US versions will not be the same Region as for the UK (I've forgotten the details but someone will be along shortly with a full explanation !).

Not sure if either will be much cheaper than at home, now that we can get bargains on line/Tesco etc.

Premium Outlets, Lake Buena Vista Outlets and Florida Mall. Florida Mall, altho' cheaper due to exchange rate, there are more designer names within that mall. Belz (or Prime) was a real let down this year!!

There is a good DVD shop on the Orange blossom trail opposite the Florida mall my DH went mad in there last time we went.
