Hi:
My sisters and I will be going to Disneyland in April. Our last visit was in 1960 and I know there have been many changes. I have two questions now, but as the vacation gets closer I'm sure I will have alot more.
#1 Do the stores in the parks ship your packages back to your hotel? We will
be staying at the Disneyland Hotel.
#2 Is there a UPS center at the Disneyland Hotel? We will be going to Las
Vegas after our stay at Disneyland and it would be great if we could ship
all our purchases home instead of carrying them with us.
Any help will be appreciated.

Is there a UPS center at the Disneyland Hotel? Sorry, I don't know that one but I am sure there must be some way to do that.

The stores will ship directly to your home. Shipping is caculated on the total, so you might what to get everything, if possible, at one store at the same time.

I thought I may want to ship items on my own while staying at Disneyland because the shops do ship based on the cost of the item which makes no sense to me.

Keep in mind though that if you ship from a shop out of the state of CA, they will not charge you sales tax, so shipping costs from the Disney shops can be offset by no sales tax.

I have found the following methods of shipping in the area and tyheir locations close to Disneyland (I entered zip code 92802, which is the zip for the DLH).

UPS Store locations http://go.mappoint.net/ups/PrxResul...0914401:-117.913134661055:32:&GAD4=USA&FC=UPS

FedEx Kinko's locations http://fedex.kinkos.com/locations/locator_results.php

USPS locations http://www.switchboard.com/bin/cgid...T=Anaheim&S=CA&Z=92802&Search.x=37&Search.y=5

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. I guess my only choice is to have the store ship the packages or take them with us, since we will not have a car while we are in Disneyland.

Thanks again,
BarbaraK

I know what you mean. I usually scout around the park a few days to get an idea of the things I want, then try to buy the bulk of them at World of Disney to reduce shipping costs.

I won't have a car this trip either. If I decide to use one of the resources listed, I will take a cab to the nearest post office. I haven't asked yet, but the DLH may offer the service too, which I will check into.

Another thing to consider is that if you let the shops ship it for you the will box it and package it appropriately. I think the UPS store will do this for you too. I'm not sure if FedEx or USPS will.......

I don't have experience doing this at DL but I know that at WDW your resort can send your packages for you as well. I just get a box from the gift shop right there in the resort, fill it up (the gift shop has always given me a bit of packing material if needed), and take it to the Guest Services desk. They have a form for you to fill out and they send it for you and put the charge on your room account. One more thing to note is that I have received these boxes several days earlier than those I sent through the retail stores.

As I said, I have not yet done this at DL (will probably try during our Oct trip) but I would venture that it is possible.

Good luck and have a lovely trip!

I just called Guest Services at the DLH and was told that Bell Services will ship items for you based on weight. She didn't mention a surcharge over the carriers' rates but I would expect one. She said they can use any carrier you want and will have boxes if you need them.
